In April 2025, Ford unveiled the new Super Duty version of its Ranger pickup truck in Australia. Soon after, the first batch of Ford Ranger Super Duty trucks arrived in Thailand, with plans to launch them in the market later this year.
The Ford Ranger Super Duty has arrived in Southeast Asia.
The new Ford Ranger was spotted testing on Thai roads.
The Ford Ranger Super Duty will be available in Thailand by the end of this year.
As previously reported, the Ford Ranger Super Duty boasts a tougher and more rugged appearance, as well as superior performance compared to the standard model. The highlight of this truck is its unique grille design, setting it apart from other variants in the Ford Ranger lineup.
The Ford Ranger Super Duty has a striking exterior design.
Complementing the bold exterior are a robust front bumper, a sculpted hood with “Super Duty” embossing, extended fender flares, A-pillar-mounted snorkel, and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in General Grabber all-terrain tires.

In contrast to the exterior, the interior of the Ford Ranger Super Duty remains largely unchanged. It features durable plastic surfaces instead of soft-touch materials. A “Super Duty” embossing on the dashboard, facing the front passenger, is a distinctive feature. The truck also offers cloth upholstery, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen similar to the standard Ford Ranger models.

Under the hood, the Ford Ranger Super Duty is powered by the same 3.0-liter diesel V6 Power Stroke engine found in the Wildtrak variant. While official performance figures have not been released, they are expected to surpass the current output of 250 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque.
The truck offers six drive modes: Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Mud/Ruts, Sand, and Rock Crawl. Ford’s advanced 4WD system with 4A (automatic 4WD) mode comes standard.
The fuel tank capacity has been increased from 80 liters to 130 liters, and it is protected by a thick steel plate. The engine, front differential, transfer case, and transmission are also shielded by impact-resistant steel plates.
True to its Super Duty name, this variant impresses with its exceptional payload and towing capabilities. It boasts a gross vehicle mass of 4,500 kg, a towing capacity of 4,500 kg, and a combined gross vehicle mass of 8,000 kg when coupled with a trailer.

Additionally, the Ford Ranger Super Duty is the first in its lineup to introduce Smart Hitch and Onboard Scales technologies. These features enable drivers to balance trailer loads and estimate cargo weight using sensors in the suspension.
It is unclear if Ford plans to introduce this model to the Vietnamese market. However, the diesel V6 engine may pose a challenge due to its higher price point.
