In South Korea, consumer trends are witnessing a distinct shift towards environmentally-friendly SUVs, particularly large family-sized models like the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid.

This model is currently in high demand, with waiting times of up to 8 months. In contrast, the Palisade model powered by a conventional gasoline engine has a much shorter waiting period of approximately 2 months, depending on color options such as Clazzi Green or Ecotronic Gray.

The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid 2025 is equipped with a new-generation hybrid system, combining a 2.5L turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor to deliver an estimated combined output of 330 horsepower.

In addition to its impressive performance, the hybrid system significantly improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. The seamless transition between the two power sources, along with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology that allows for external device charging, makes the Palisade Hybrid an ideal choice for modern families who enjoy camping and traveling.

According to a Hyundai dealer in Indonesia, the new generation Palisade, featuring three hybrid variants: HEV Signature, HEV Calligraphy, and HEV AWD Calligraphy, will soon be available in the Indonesian market. Hyundai is also considering introducing a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version in international markets in the future.

There are strong indications that Hyundai Thanh Cong will introduce the Palisade Hybrid to the Vietnamese market in the near future. The current generation of this SUV is already being assembled in Vietnam and even exported to Thailand.

In Vietnam, the Hyundai Palisade has a competitive pricing advantage, starting at just over VND 1.5 billion, making it the most affordable in the large 7-seat SUV segment. Direct competitors such as the Ford Explorer and Volkswagen Teramont are significantly more expensive, while their accessibility to the average consumer falls short of the Palisade.

With its success in South Korea and expansion strategy in Southeast Asia, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is poised to become a strategic player in the large SUV race in developing countries. If introduced at the right time in Vietnam, this vehicle will be an excellent choice for families seeking a spacious, comfortable, economical, and environmentally-friendly mode of transportation.
