GMC Unveils the Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition: A Powerful and Stylish Electric Vehicle
The latest addition to the Hummer EV family, the Carbon Fiber Edition, is an impressive offering from GMC. With a bold design, premium features, and notable performance upgrades, it’s a standout in the electric vehicle market.
The Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition stands out with its exclusive Magnus Gray Matte paint, complemented by dark accents that emphasize its sporty nature. The side mirrors, side skirts, and spare wheel cover (on the SUV variant) are crafted from carbon fiber, adding a modern and premium touch.
It rides on large 22-inch carbon fiber wheels wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler AT all-terrain tires, giving it a formidable off-road stance. A dark-colored front skid plate further enhances its practical off-road capabilities.
Step inside, and you’ll find a unique Velocity Ember interior with a striking black and red color scheme. At the center is a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a split-view function, allowing the driver and passenger to view different content simultaneously.
The vehicle also comes equipped with OnStar connectivity and integrated Google applications, including Google Maps and Chrome, offering a smart and familiar driving experience akin to using a smartphone.
Based on the Hummer EV 3Ë£ variant with a 24-module battery pack, the GMC Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition Pickup boasts an impressive 1,178 horsepower and a staggering 17,626 Nm of torque. With its Watts to Freedom acceleration feature, it can sprint from 0 to 97 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
The SUV variant is no slouch either, delivering 842 horsepower and 15,592 Nm of torque, with a 0-97 km/h time of 3.5 seconds. These are currently the most powerful large electric vehicles in GMC’s lineup.
GMC has also equipped the Carbon Fiber Edition with an intelligent steering system, dubbed King Crab, which allows the rear wheels to turn faster than the front ones, making it highly maneuverable in tight spaces. This is complemented by the rear-wheel steering and Crabwalk features, reducing the turning radius from 13.5 meters to 10.8 meters.
One of the most impressive features is the UltraVision camera system, with 17 cameras on the SUV and 18 cameras on the Pickup variant, providing a comprehensive surround view. This is incredibly useful for off-road adventures and navigating complex terrain.
The 2026 GMC Hummer EV, including the Carbon Fiber Edition, introduces the Vehicle-to-Load feature, enabling it to charge other electric vehicles or power your home in extended power outage situations.
All Hummer EV 2026 models, including the Carbon Fiber Edition, will be assembled at the Factory ZERO plant in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan. While GMC has not yet announced the official price of the Carbon Fiber Edition, it is expected to be higher than the 2025 Hummer EV 3Ë£ SUV and Pickup, which start at $107,145 (approximately 2.77 billion VND).
