On June 14, Acerbis Motorsport officially set a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled by a motorcycle on a single tank of fuel.
The AC50 project bike, based on a Honda Monkey, covered a total of 4,183 km, starting from Albino, Italy, and ending in Nordkapp, northern Norway.
On June 10, Acerbis Motorsport embarked on this ambitious project, two years in the making. The aftermarket parts specialist equipped the Honda Monkey with an oversized fuel tank made from a special plastic material, aiming to maximize the range of the 125cc motorcycle.

According to Acerbis Motorsport, the custom fuel tank on the Honda Monkey had a capacity of 108 liters. In comparison, the stock fuel tank on this 125cc bike usually holds just 5.6 liters.
With a claimed fuel economy of 1.55 liters per 100 km, the Honda Monkey, in theory, could have covered almost 7,000 km on a single tank of fuel.
Acerbis Motorsport assembled a team of three to take on this world-record attempt.
