BMW Motorrad Unveils the Concept RR at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025
The event marked the preview of their new generation of superbikes, showcasing aerodynamic design, cutting-edge technology, and lightweight materials.
Concept RR is positioned as a significant milestone in the development of high-performance sports motorcycles. It features a design language that is “sharp, purposeful, and emotional,” with a maximum focus on aerodynamics through a series of air intakes and wings that increase downforce during high-speed riding.
The bike’s body is predominantly made of carbon fiber and aluminum, contributing to its robust appearance and lightweight construction. BMW Motorrad has redesigned each component, from the main frame to the aluminum tail, to optimize stiffness and minimize weight.
The Concept RR design takes inspiration from previous superbikes while introducing bold new elements. Notably, the iconic round BMW logo is integrated directly into the front air intake, a rare feature on motorcycles. The bike also features a layered LED Matrix lighting system, a minimalist windshield, a digital instrument cluster, and a unique rear light with illuminated “RR” lettering.
It is equipped with high-performance Brembo brakes, Domino grips, and an aluminum fuel tank.Â
Powering the BMW Concept RR is a water-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 227 horsepower, paired with an electronic control system refined from racing vehicles.
In addition to the concept bike, BMW Motorrad also presented the Concept RR LTD jacket, a limited-edition garment crafted from premium Nappa leather in collaboration with Meindl. The jacket features an embroidered “BMW Motorrad” logo at the back of the neck and will be limited to only 50 pieces. The price has not yet been announced.
Although there are no immediate plans for mass production, the Concept RR is a clear statement of BMW Motorrad’s new direction: emphasizing aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and racing technology for their future superbikes.
