Mazda Unveils Pricing for the Sporty EZ-6 Sports Edition Sedan

The highly anticipated Mazda EZ-6 Sports Edition has finally had its pricing revealed, approximately half a month after its initial launch.

The Mazda EZ-6 Sports Edition is offered in four distinct variants, with prices ranging from 161,800 to 181,180 CNY, which roughly converts to 566 to 634 million VND.

The Mazda EZ-6 Sports Edition is a sleek and sporty take on the standard EZ-6 model. With its 19-inch black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and glossy black exterior accents, this sedan exudes a modern and dynamic appeal.

The interior of the EZ-6 Sports Edition continues the athletic theme with Alcantara-trimmed seats, bold red stitching, and a red-illuminated interior lighting system. The dashboard features a stylish mesh pattern, reminiscent of the sporty variants of the Mazda CX-60 lineup.

Beyond its aesthetic enhancements, the EZ-6 Sports Edition retains all the premium comfort and convenience features of the standard model. It boasts a 14.6-inch infotainment screen, a 50-inch AR HUD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, a 14-speaker Sony audio system, 64-color ambient lighting, and front seats with deep recline functionality.

The Mazda EZ-6 Sports Edition is expected to be available with two distinct powertrain configurations, similar to the standard model. The first is an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) system, combining a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a potent 160 kW (217 hp) electric motor, offering an impressive total range of up to 1,301 km (CLTC) and exceptional fuel efficiency of just 3.6 liters per 100 km.

The second option is a pure electric variant, featuring a powerful 190 kW (258 hp) electric motor, with a range of 480 to 600 km depending on the battery capacity. This electric model supports fast DC charging, enabling a quick charge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.

In addition to its design and performance upgrades, the Mazda EZ-6 Sports Edition also prioritizes safety with a comprehensive standard safety package that includes nine airbags, including a center airbag. This sedan has also met stringent European crash safety standards, solidifying its position in the competitive mid-size sedan segment.

While the Mazda EZ-6 is currently available in its domestic market and select countries like Europe and Thailand (known as the Mazda e6), there has been no official word from Mazda regarding plans to introduce this model to the Vietnamese market. However, it could be a potential successor to the Mazda6 in the near future.
