With its sleek design, easy maneuverability, and impressive features, the VinFast Evo Lite Neo is quickly becoming a favorite among parents and students alike. The electric scooter becomes even more appealing with the added benefit of free charging at public stations until the end of 2026, making it a cost-effective choice.

A Modern Design that Appeals to Students

As major cities tighten emission standards and restrict older gasoline-powered vehicles, electric scooters are becoming an increasingly popular choice, especially among students. Embracing the growing green transition movement in Vietnam, many families are opting for cleaner, safer, and more economical transportation options for their children.

Leading this trend is the VinFast Evo Lite Neo, a scooter that stands out for its youthful design, safety features, and low operating costs. Unlike other student scooters that often lack aesthetic appeal, the Evo Lite Neo makes a statement with its appearance.

Its design is reminiscent of classic Italian scooters, while its diverse color options ensure a modern and trendy look that appeals to young riders. With a length of 1,806 mm and a seat height of just 750 mm, this scooter is particularly suited for young riders, making it easy to handle, maneuver, and navigate through narrow alleys.

“I like the Evo Lite Neo because it’s compact, easy to ride, and still looks stylish and cool,” said Minh Anh, a 10th-grade student from Hanoi. “It’s convenient for going to school every day, whether it’s riding up and down slopes or parking. It’s not as heavy as the old 50cc scooter I used to have.”

The student also acknowledged that the Evo Lite Neo’s impressive range of up to 78 km on a single charge is more than sufficient to meet her daily commuting needs.

In terms of performance, the Evo Lite Neo is designed with a top speed of 49 km/h, providing students with the confidence to ride to school and for leisure while staying within the speed limit for unlicensed riders. This feature is also a significant factor in reassuring parents.

Winning Over Parents

While the design appeals to students, it’s the features and after-sales policies that truly convince parents to make the purchase.

Priced at just 14.4 million VND, which is lower than even basic non-electric scooters, the VinFast Evo Lite Neo offers full LED lighting and a digital display—features that are rarely found even in higher-segment scooters.

The front disc brake ensures safety during sudden stops, which is especially beneficial for young riders who may lack experience in handling unexpected situations. Additionally, the IP67-rated waterproof motor gives Evo Lite Neo a significant advantage over gasoline-powered scooters, particularly in Vietnam’s rainy climate.

“The Evo Lite Neo feels more like a piece of technology than just a scooter,” said Mr. Manh Hung, a parent from Ho Chi Minh City. “The bright LED lights and digital display showing various parameters give me peace of mind when my child rides in the evening for extra classes. And with the waterproof motor, I don’t have to worry about them getting stranded in the rain.”

Mr. Hung shared that his child previously used an old 50cc gasoline scooter, which was heavy and prone to breakdowns. By switching to the electric scooter, his family has gained numerous benefits: no more fuel costs, no fumes, and no maintenance hassles—thanks to the free charging offered at V-Green public charging stations nationwide until May 2026.

Even after the free charging period ends, a full charge will cost him only 3,000-4,000 VND (based on residential electricity rates), which translates to just 30,000 VND per month for his child’s average monthly mileage of 500 km. In comparison, the old gasoline scooter would have consumed 200,000 VND worth of fuel for the same distance, a six-fold difference in expenses.

In the long run, the cost difference between the Evo Lite Neo and a gasoline scooter is even more pronounced, as electric scooters do not require oil changes, air filter replacements, or spark plug maintenance. For this reason, Mr. Hung is confident in his decision to invest in the Evo Lite Neo, knowing that his child can use it throughout high school and even during college years.

Moreover, with the knowledge that gasoline-powered cars and scooters will soon be restricted from entering inner-city areas in major cities if they do not meet emission control standards, Mr. Hung feels even more assured in his choice.

“Switching to the VinFast electric scooter means my child gets a better, longer-lasting vehicle that won’t become obsolete due to emission standards. I save money, and I have peace of mind knowing my child is using a reputable brand. It’s a win-win situation,” Mr. Hung concluded.
