According to Carscoops, Hyundai has issued a warning to the owners of 620 Palisade vehicles in the US, advising them to park their cars outdoors to minimize potential fire damage.
The 2025 Hyundai Palisade SUVs may be at risk of fires due to a potential issue with the electric fuel pump. Hyundai became aware of this issue from one of its suppliers in the last week of March and quickly identified a series of suspect parts that could be the root cause.
Per Carscoops, the production springs may have adversely affected the protective pad of the printed circuit board (PCB) on the electric fuel pump in the affected Palisade vehicles.
Due to the damaged pad, water could enter this area, causing an electrical short and potentially leading to a fire. Hyundai states that owners may notice a burning smell or melting, and dashboard indicators may also alert them to the issue. So far, Hyundai has not received any field reports or dealer claims related to this problem.

In a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Hyundai stated that owners can continue to drive the Palisade vehicles. However, they recommend parking outdoors and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed.
The remedy mentioned here is the replacement of the electric fuel pump control module, which will be properly sealed. Hyundai plans to notify customers and dealers by July 4 about this recall. Owners can also check if their Palisade is included in the recall by visiting the NHTSA website.
As of April, Hyundai sold 36,737 Palisade SUVs to US customers. Last year, the sales figure for this flagship SUV model in the American market reached 110,055 units, accounting for approximately 13.15% of Hyundai’s total car sales in the country.
