THACO Auto has recently confirmed the upcoming launch of the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition in Vietnam on July 5th. This special edition model is based on the Peugeot 408 GT and will be limited to just 215 units, commemorating Peugeot’s 215 years of global presence.

While THACO Auto has not yet disclosed the official pricing and detailed specifications, the Legend Edition is expected to be priced approximately 20 million VND higher than the GT trim.

Based on the introductory video released ahead of the launch, the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition features several distinctive elements compared to the standard model. It boasts a “215 years” logo at the rear, limited-edition numbering, and embossed logos on the leather seats. The exterior color option is limited to Selenium Grey, exuding a modern and elegant style.

Retaining the characteristic SUV coupe design of the 408 series, the Legend Edition showcases a large grille, the new lion logo, and LED positioning lights in the shape of lion claws. Derived from the GT trim, it also features matrix LED headlights with automatic anti-glare functionality, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power tailgate with a kick sensor.

According to sales consultants, the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition will offer the same convenience features and technical specifications as the GT trim currently available in the market. The GT trim is equipped with premium features such as a 10-inch 3D digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch central screen, a 5-inch secondary screen, a 10-speaker Focal sound system, Nappa leather upholstery, electrically adjustable, memory, and massage function for the seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and an air quality control system.

Positioned in the C-segment SUV coupe category in Vietnam, the Peugeot 408 currently has no direct competitors. It is offered in three trims: Allure, priced at 1.019 billion VND, Premium at 1.119 billion VND, and GT at 1.269 billion VND.

The introduction of the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition not only marks a significant milestone for the Peugeot brand globally but also adds a unique option to the C-segment SUV market in Vietnam, catering to customers who appreciate limited editions, personalization, and European design aesthetics.
