On the eve of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025, Pagani officially unveiled the limited-edition Huayra Codalunga Speedster supercar.
The Huayra Codalunga Speedster is developed by the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni special fabrication department, inspired by the long-distance racing cars of the 1950s and 1960s, especially the Porsche 917 – a symbol beloved by Horacio Pagani himself.
The coupe version of this car was also launched in 2022 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. However, the new convertible offers a completely different experience, featuring a detachable polycarbonate roof, a rare feature in the modern supercar world.
The Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster has dimensions of 4,912 mm in length, 2,050 mm in width, and 1,174 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,795 mm. It utilizes a Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 monocoque chassis, resulting in a dry weight of just 1,270 kg.
In terms of aerodynamics, the rear end of the car is elongated and optimized using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to enhance airflow and downforce. Notably, the exhaust system comprises six pipes, specifically designed for the convertible, including four round pipes in the center and two at the rear diffuser, producing maximum sound and exhaust efficiency.
It is equipped with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Avional monolithic wheels and a high-performance Brembo braking system with carbon-ceramic discs.
Inside the cockpit, the Huayra Codalunga Speedster showcases a classic Pagani interior with a wooden steering wheel and gear knob, analogue gauges, and handcrafted metal and carbon fiber details.
The entire space evokes the spirit of classic racing cars while exuding the essence of modern Italian supercars.
A special highlight is the exclusive upholstery, handcrafted with over 450,000 stitches, featuring a pattern of four exhaust pipes – a distinctive symbol of Pagani. This pattern is also found on the dashboard, door panels, and even a custom-made luggage set that fits perfectly in the car’s storage compartment.
According to the manufacturer, each car will be fully personalized according to the owner’s preferences, from colors, materials, and patterns to its name. This ensures that each Huayra Codalunga Speedster is unique, with no two cars being identical.
Under the hood, this supercar is powered by a Mercedes-AMG handcrafted 6.0L V12 twin-turbo engine, delivering 864 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,100 Nm.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed Xtrac transverse gearbox, available in two configurations: AMT (automated manual transmission) or pure manual. The top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h, which is more than enough to compete with the fastest supercars on the market today.
Pagani will produce only ten Huayra Codalunga Speedsters globally, with deliveries starting in 2026. This makes the car one of the rarest models in Pagani’s history, similar to the Huayra Codalunga coupe, which was limited to five units with a starting price of over $7.36 million in 2022.
More than just a means of transportation, the Huayra Codalunga Speedster is likened to a “living sculpture” by founder Horacio Pagani, a fusion of art, technology, and emotion. With its ultra-limited production, this supercar is destined to become a highly valuable collectible for enthusiasts worldwide.
