A well-known supercar showroom in Ho Chi Minh City has caught the attention of the online community by unexpectedly displaying the Koenigsegg CCX hypercar – the only one of its kind in Vietnam.
This is not the first time the Koenigsegg CCX has appeared in Ho Chi Minh City, but it is the first time this hypercar has been showcased in a specialized showroom in the city.
According to the showroom, the car was brought to Ho Chi Minh City for cleaning, inspection, and periodic maintenance. However, whether the vehicle will remain in the city or return to Haiphong, its presumed home, remains uncertain.
In 2024, this Koenigsegg CCX stirred public attention when it was officially registered in Haiphong. The car was first brought to Vietnam and settled in Haiphong in 2020 and then appeared in a supercar garage in District 7 in July 2022. It is understood that this hypercar stayed in Ho Chi Minh City for two years before receiving its Haiphong license plate.
It is known that the million-dollar Koenigsegg CCX was purchased from the Al Ain Class Motors dealership in Dubai. This is the same dealership from which prominent figures like Minh “Nhua” and Hoang Kim Khanh acquired their Pagani Huayra and McLaren Senna supercars.
The Haiphong-based hypercar, with chassis number #53, was produced in 2008. Even more remarkably, it is the only red CCX in the world. When it was first introduced, the Koenigsegg CCX was priced at $700,000 (equivalent to 18.28 billion VND at the current exchange rate).
Koenigsegg CCX boasts an exterior crafted from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum. Its scissor doors slide forward instead of vertically like those of Lamborghini supercars. The car’s removable targa top is stored manually in front of the luggage compartment, requiring a similarly intricate process for installation and removal.
The cabin features a striking red and black color scheme, matching the exterior. The interior primarily utilizes carbon fiber and premium leather. The steering wheel is simple and devoid of excessive physical buttons. The sports seats have carbon fiber frames, and the headrests are embroidered with the Koenigsegg logo.
The Koenigsegg CCX is powered by a 4.7L supercharged V8 engine producing 800 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 402 km/h.
