A rare first-generation Audi R8 has recently surfaced in Hanoi, surprising many as the car was last traded just a month ago. Now, it is up for grabs again, priced at 3.2 billion VND with over 50,000 km on the odometer and first registered in 2009.
This Audi R8 is one of the two most extensively modified R8s in Vietnam, with the other one being engine-modified and also located in Hanoi, but not in the best of health. This particular R8, however, boasts a factory engine and is otherwise perfectly equipped to deliver an exhilarating driving experience.
The standout feature of this R8 is its Regula body kit, which gives the car a more aggressive look compared to the stock R8. Specifically, the side vents of this Regula-kitted R8 are not just a stack of three horizontal bars; instead, they are widened and feature honeycomb mesh painted in matte black.
The owner of this Audi R8 has also upgraded the headlights to the LED units from the 2018 model, along with new LED taillights. The widened front vents not only contribute to a more belligerent appearance but also improve the aerodynamics of the car.
The exterior of the car is adorned with numerous carbon fiber elements, adding accents to the white body and significantly reducing weight. This Regula-kitted Audi R8 sits on a new set of Oxigin wheels, finished in black.
The engine of this Audi R8 remains untouched. In factory form, the heart of this supercar is a 4.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower at 7,800 rpm and 430 Nm of torque between 4,500 and 6,000 rpm.
Paired with a 7-speed transmission, this powertrain enables the Audi R8 to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 301 km/h. The exhaust system of this car has been upgraded with an Akrapovic unit.
