Porsche Reports Significant Growth in Electrified Vehicle Sales for H1 2025
From January to June, a total of 146,391 Porsche vehicles were delivered to customers worldwide, of which 36.1% were electrified models (+14.5%). This includes 23.5% battery-electric vehicles and 12.6% plug-in hybrids.
Among the six model series, the Macan showed the strongest growth with a 15% increase. Panamera also performed well, achieving a 13% growth compared to the same period last year. North America continued to be the top-performing region with 43,577 vehicle deliveries, representing a 10% increase year-over-year, setting a new record for the first half of the year. International and developing markets also set a new record with 30,158 vehicles delivered.
Growth in North America, International, and Developing Markets
North America maintained its position as the highest-performing region, delivering 43,577 vehicles and achieving a 10% increase compared to 2024. This marks the region’s most impressive first-half-year performance in history. The growth during this period can be attributed to ample supply and price stability despite higher import taxes. International and developing markets also showed remarkable results with a record-breaking 10% increase. A total of 30,158 vehicles were delivered to customers in these markets.
In Europe (excluding Germany), Porsche delivered 35,381 vehicles in the first half, an 8% decrease year-over-year. In the German domestic market, 15,973 customers took delivery of their Porsche vehicles, a 23% decrease. The decline in both regions is partly due to high sales during the same period last year, influenced by the positive carry-over effect from 2023.
In China, 21,302 Porsches were delivered to customers (-28%). The main reasons for this decline are the ongoing challenges in the market, particularly in the luxury segment, and intense competition in the Chinese market. Porsche remains focused on its value-oriented business strategy, aiming for a balance between supply and demand. Globally, Porsche’s sales were 6% lower than in the previous year, with a balanced sales structure across markets.
Macan Leads in Sales for the First Six Months
During the first half of the year, 45,137 units of the Macan were delivered to customers (+15%). Nearly 60% of Macan sales were the all-electric version (25,884 units). In most markets outside of Europe, the Macan with internal combustion engines is still offered, with 19,253 units delivered. Panamera also performed well, with 14,975 vehicles delivered, representing a 13% increase.
Sales of the iconic 911 sports car reached 25,608 units in the first half. A 9% decrease compared to the previous year is mainly due to strong sales of the predecessor model and the phased launch of new variants. The 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman recorded sales of 10,496 units, a 12% decrease year-over-year, primarily due to limited supply related to European cybersecurity regulation impacts. The production of the current 718 series will come to an end in Q4 2025. From January to June, 8,302 units of the Taycan were delivered to customers (-6%). Total Cayenne sales amounted to 41,873, a 23% decrease, partly due to higher sales during the same period last year, influenced by the positive carry-over effect from 2023.
