On July 30, 2025, GSM, a leading provider of smart and sustainable mobility solutions, and the Thai Son Training Center, affiliated with the Logistics General Department of the Ministry of Defense, signed a cooperation agreement to train and recruit retired military personnel as professional drivers for Xanh SM.
This partnership offers a practical and humane approach to transitioning high-quality and disciplined military personnel to the civilian workforce. It is a joint effort to address employment challenges faced by retired soldiers, contribute to socio-economic development, and promote green transportation initiatives within the community.
As per the agreement, the Thai Son Center will organize driving courses for military personnel who have completed their service, ensuring quality instruction that meets the standards and regulations set by relevant authorities. In addition to comprehensive driving skills, the curriculum will focus on cultivating a service-oriented mindset, communication skills, and a strong sense of discipline—core qualities essential for becoming professional drivers within Xanh SM’s specialized operation system.
The tuition fee for this program is set at a discounted rate of 18,150,000 VND per course, excluding examination fees, license issuance fees, and fees for practical training on simulation devices. To ease financial burdens, GSM offers flexible payment options, allowing students to pay 10,150,000 VND upon enrollment and the remaining 8,000,000 VND after completing the theoretical phase of the course. GSM may also provide advance payments for the second installment, in agreement with the students, showcasing their long-term commitment to supporting these veterans in their career endeavors.
Upon completion of the training, qualified graduates will be officially employed by Xanh SM, benefiting from competitive salaries and a professional working environment. The addition of these well-trained and disciplined drivers, shaped by their military experience, will enhance the overall quality of Xanh SM’s driving and service standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and peace of mind during their journeys.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM, shared his thoughts at the signing ceremony: “The image of a Vietnamese soldier embodies courage, integrity, discipline, and dedication to serving the people. GSM believes that these virtues, honed during their military service, will continue to flourish within the Xanh SM team and contribute to setting new standards in the transportation industry, positioning Xanh SM as a leading Vietnamese brand known for its green, civilized, and friendly services.”
Mr. Nguyen Van Viet, Director of the Thai Son Center, affirmed, “This partnership not only offers a stable career path but also provides our students with an opportunity to continue serving the community in a new role—as guardians of safe and respectful journeys for our people.”
