The Porsche 911 Dakar is an exclusive, limited-edition sports car that offers a unique off-road experience.

In Vietnam, the Porsche 911 Dakar is a rare sight, with only a handful of these vehicles in the country. One particular example stands out, as its owner has transformed it with a bold new look, wrapping the original Shade Green Metallic paintwork with a striking dark green vinyl wrap, giving it a distinct rugged appeal.

This car has also been fitted with a roof rack equipped with LED auxiliary lights, a feature often seen on dedicated off-road vehicles, adding practicality for complex terrain and night-time driving. This accessory alone is valued at VND 250 million.

The 911 Dakar is based on the standard 911 Carrera but has been enhanced for off-road capability. Porsche has tweaked the suspension, raising the ride height by 80 mm compared to regular 911 models, resulting in a ground clearance of 200 mm, on par with a true SUV.

The Dakar edition introduces two new driving modes: Rally and Off-road. Rally mode is designed for rough and uneven surfaces, sending most of the torque to the rear wheels.

Meanwhile, activating the Off-road High Level mode further increases ground clearance by 30 mm, providing SUV-like capability. This mode automatically disengages when the vehicle exceeds 170 km/h.

Powering this off-road-capable sports car is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, producing 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. This potent powertrain enables the 911 Dakar to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h (electronically limited). It is paired with a PDK 8-speed automatic transmission and Porsche’s renowned AWD system.

As standard, the car features a four-wheel steering system and a multi-purpose engine mount, reducing the vehicle’s weight by 7.3 kg. Other weight-saving measures include a fixed rear spoiler and thinner glass.

In Vietnam, the Porsche 911 Dakar is officially priced at VND 15.3 billion, a fitting price for those passionate about owning this unique and limited-edition sports car.
