The Volkswagen Golf Now Available for Pre-Order: Priced from VND 798 Million to VND 1.89 Billion

The Volkswagen Golf sold in Vietnam will be imported directly from Germany, offering six variants ranging from fuel-efficient Mild Hybrid to high-performance 4Motion all-wheel drive.

Powering the new Volkswagen Golf in Vietnam are three main powertrain options: the 1.5 eTSI Mild Hybrid, the 2.0 TSI GTI turbocharged engine, and the range-topping Golf R 4Motion. The variants and their expected prices are as follows:

Golf 1.5 eTSI Life: Expected price: 798,000,000 VND

Golf 1.5 eTSI Style: Expected price: 898,000,000 VND

Golf 1.5 eTSI R-Line: Expected price: 998,000,000 VND

Golf 1.5 eTSI Mild Hybrid: Smooth and Efficient

The Life, Style, and R-Line versions are equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged Mild Hybrid engine integrated with a 48V electric motor, delivering 148 horsepower and 250Nm of torque. This setup is renowned for its smooth acceleration and responsive low-end torque, coupled with fuel efficiency. The Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) system further enhances efficiency by deactivating cylinders when not needed.

The differences between these three variants lie mainly in their exterior and interior equipment levels: the Life version offers a simple style, the Style version adds premium conveniences, while the R-Line adopts a sportier design with a distinctive styling package and extended features.

Golf GTI: The Performance Icon for Speed Enthusiasts

In the higher-performance segment, the Golf GTI Lite and GTI Performance are equipped with a 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine, generating 242 horsepower and 370Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive, catering to those who crave a sporty driving experience while retaining the practicality of a daily hatchback.

The Golf GTI boasts performance features such as a progressive steering wheel, high-performance GTI brakes, IQ.Light LED intelligent lighting system, and a 10-inch central display.

Golf R Performance 4Motion: The Pinnacle of its Class

The range-topping Golf R Performance 4Motion is tailored for speed enthusiasts. It is equipped with a 2.0L TSI turbocharged engine, producing 315 horsepower and 420Nm of torque, coupled with a DSG dual-clutch transmission and the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.

With a lightweight body of around 1.5 tons, the Golf R Performance accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, rivaling many dedicated sports coupes.

In Vietnam, Volkswagen Golf appeals to young, successful individuals who appreciate European cars and desire a compact hatchback that’s both practical and distinctive. The 5-door design, coupled with front-wheel or AWD options, makes the Golf versatile for both urban and long-distance driving.

Volkswagen Vietnam is now accepting pre-orders with deposits ranging from 50 to 100 million VND at authorized dealerships nationwide or through their online channel. Deliveries are expected to begin in late September 2025.
