A brand new Ferrari 488 GTB was recently spotted cruising the streets of Ho Chi Minh City with Hanoi license plates, capturing the attention of car enthusiasts. It is understood that this is the first Ferrari 488 GTB to arrive in Vietnam in 2019, over 6 years ago.

When it first arrived in the country, the Ferrari 488 GTB sported the familiar Rosso Corsa red, a signature color for Ferrari supercars. However, it now dons a deeper shade of red with a black roof, accented by dual white stripes, a carbon fiber front splitter, and a large white stripe on the front bumper. Another unique feature is the addition of white stitching on the hood.

Ferrari’s V8-powered supercars have seen a significant increase in numbers with each new version released in Vietnam. After the discontinuation of the Ferrari 458, which made way for the Ferrari 488, Vietnamese enthusiasts quickly snapped up over 20 units, including both coupe and convertible versions, as well as high-performance variants.

The Ferrari 488 is subject to a pre-tax fee of VND 18.9 billion, which is approximately VND 1.4 billion less than its predecessor. This difference in pricing is due to the 488’s smaller 3.9-liter engine, which benefits from a lower special consumption tax compared to the 4.5-liter engine found in the Ferrari 458.

This newly-sighted Ferrari 488 GTB in Ho Chi Minh City is equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing a maximum output of 661 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 760 Nm at 3,000 rpm.

The owner of this supercar will experience the thrill of its 7-speed gearbox, complete with F1-style paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The Ferrari 488 GTB can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h.
