The Vietnamese motorcycle market is about to welcome a new addition from Yamaha in the second half of 2024. The Japanese manufacturer has teased a new model aimed at male customers.
While the 15-second video posted on Yamaha’s fanpage doesn’t reveal much, it does offer glimpses of certain details like the tail and floorboard. Despite the lack of clarity, these images are enough to identify the bike as the Yamaha Lexi LX 155.
This suspicion is further supported by the appearance of the Yamaha Lexi LX 155 in the April 2024 issue of the Vietnam Register’s Industrial Property Gazette. This strongly suggests that this model will soon be introduced by Yamaha Vietnam.

In Indonesia, the Yamaha Lexi LX 155 is offered in three versions, with the top-of-the-line model featuring phone connectivity and an ABS braking system. All versions share the same 155 cc engine, producing 15.1 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Priced from 1,603 USD up to 1,888 USD for the highest-end model in Indonesia, the Lexi LX 155 is likely to be positioned below the NVX 155 in Vietnam, with a price tag expected to be above 40 million VND.

Yamaha Vietnam’s introduction of the Lexi LX 155 indicates their ambition to expand their 155 cc segment, which currently includes the Exciter 155 and NVX 155. Stylistically, the Lexi LX 155 resembles the Honda PCX, which is no longer available. Honda is likely to introduce the PCX 160 to Vietnam in the near future.
