SAIC Motor has received a positive response from the market as its new MG4 EV hatchback garnered 11,067 pre-orders within just 24 hours. This is considered a promising start ahead of the model’s official launch in September.

The new MG4 EV is developed based on SAIC’s self-researched pure electric platform, E3. It will be offered in four variants, with pre-order prices ranging from 73,800 to 105,800 Chinese yuan (approximately 269.34 to 386.13 million VND). The version with a semi-solid-state battery will be launched at a later date.

The MG4 EV has overall dimensions of 4,395 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, 1,551 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

The 2025 MG4 retains the compact hatchback style but incorporates modern elements inspired by the Cyberster convertible, such as the illuminated MG logo at the front. The body features distinctive lines, black window trim, and floral-patterned wheels, creating a dynamic and youthful appearance.

The rear of the vehicle stands out with arrow-shaped taillights inspired by the British flag. It is offered with six exterior color options.

In terms of interior, the MG4 EV’s cabin features a new infotainment system developed in collaboration with SAIC and Oppo, allowing seamless integration and control of mobile content on the central display. The model also incorporates Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, integrating the battery into the frame to lower the floor and increase interior space.

Powering the 2025 MG4 EV is an electric motor producing 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, coupled with two LFP battery options offering 42.8 kWh and 53.9 kWh capacities, respectively. The vehicle supports fast charging, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 21 minutes. The two battery variants offer a range of 437 km and 530 km, respectively, as per the CLTC standard.
