As of early August 2025, Vietnam’s automotive market has witnessed a wave of significant incentives in the small 7-seat MPV segment, with discounts of up to tens of millions of VND to stimulate purchasing demand.

Mitsubishi Xpander

Specifically, customers purchasing the Mitsubishi Xpander 2025 model in August will receive support for 50% of the registration fee (equivalent to a cash incentive of 30 – 35 million VND, depending on the version). Moreover, customers will also receive a series of genuine gifts such as: Fuel vouchers (worth 15 – 20 million VND), 360-degree camera system (worth 20 million VND) or 1-year physical insurance (worth 09 million VND).

Exclusively for customers buying the Mitsubishi Xpander 2024 MT version, there is a support of 50% registration fee (equivalent to a cash incentive of 28 million VND) and a gift of 1 fuel voucher (worth 15 million VND) and 1 reverse camera (worth 2.5 million VND).

Toyota Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio

The Toyota Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio also offer a 100% registration fee support in August, equivalent to a cash incentive of 56 – 60 million VND for the Avanza Premio and 64 – 66 million VND for the Veloz Cross. After the incentive, the Avanza Premio’s price ranges from 502 – 538 million VND. The Veloz Cross’s price ranges from 574 – 594 million VND. When including gifts, the total value of incentives can be up to 69 – 75 million VND.

Suzuki XL7

At dealerships, the Suzuki XL7 hybrid is being offered with incentives of up to 75 million VND, including 100% registration fee support and a genuine accessory package. The price of the car after incentives ranges from 524 – 532 million VND, depending on the dealership.

Hyundai Stargazer

This August, Hyundai Stargazer is supported by the company with 50% registration fee, equivalent to 24.5 – 30 million VND, depending on the version.

Some dealerships offer additional incentives to stimulate sales, bringing the maximum incentive to up to 40 million VND. After the promotion, the price of the Stargazer ranges from 450 – 550 million VND.

Kia Carens

Not to be outdone, the Kia Carens also offers a 50% registration fee support, equivalent to 30 – 35 million VND depending on the version. The actual selling price of the car after the incentive ranges from 554 – 744 million VND.

The small 7-seat MPV segment is one of the best-selling segments in Vietnam. In 2024, the segment’s sales volume reached about 50,000 units, accounting for 10% of the automobile market share. Among them, Mitsubishi Xpander took the lead with nearly 20,000 units, ranking in the top 3 in the entire market. In the first half of 2025, this segment consumed nearly 17,000 units, accounting for 6% market share; Xpander alone accounted for more than 8,000 units, equivalent to 50% of the segment’s sales.

MPVs score points for their spacious interior, fuel-efficient engines, and reasonable prices. About 50% of annual sales come from transportation business needs. However, the high level of competition forces car companies to continuously offer promotions to maintain market share.
