In the late evening of August 19, 2025, the one-of-a-kind McLaren 765LT Spider supercar was spotted traveling from District 1 to Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, quickly capturing the attention of car enthusiasts.
Only 765 McLaren 765LT Spider convertible supercars were produced globally, and just one has been spotted in Vietnam so far, owned by businessman Quoc Cuong, with a price tag of over 30 billion VND.
The McLaren 765LT Spider’s exterior boasts a vibrant orange-red paint job, complemented by numerous carbon fiber and black accents, including the hood, front bumper, wheels, wheel arches, side skirts, and rear diffuser. The car also features a prominent rear wing and a fully black soft top.
Compared to the McLaren 720S Spider, the 765LT Spider is easily distinguishable by its redesigned front bumper with extended side flics, additional air vents on the front fenders, unique 765LT badging on the wheels and side skirts, and more.
The rear of Quoc Cuong’s McLaren 765LT Spider features a raised rear wing and a completely redesigned bumper. The highlight of the 765LT Spider is its quad-exhaust setup, with four pipes arranged in a horizontal row, exuding power and performance.
Similar to the McLaren 720S Spider, the 765LT Spider boasts the world’s fastest convertible roof system, taking just 11 seconds to operate, according to the manufacturer. However, some Vietnamese owners have reported even faster times of under 9 seconds. The car’s key fob also includes a button to operate the roof remotely.
Under the hood, the McLaren 765LT Spider is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing an impressive 755 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This represents a 45 horsepower increase over the standard 765LT, achieved at 7,500 rpm and 5,500 rpm, respectively. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h.
