On August 27, 2025, VinFast officially handed over a special batch of vehicles named Lac Hong 900 LX to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This fleet is intended to serve international dignitaries during the Grand Celebration of the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025)
According to VinFast, the Lac Hong 900 LX is a limited-edition line that embodies the essence and identity of the nation, symbolizing the new pride of “The Vigorous Vietnamese Spirit.” It offers two versions: the Standard and the Bulletproof.

Both versions share a striking luxurious feature with an extended wheelbase of 3,349 mm. The exterior design impressively showcases and celebrates Vietnamese heritage and traditional culture, featuring a golden logo symbolizing the mythical Lac bird, a grille reminiscent of the Dong Son bronze drum, and parallel bars representing Vietnamese bamboo.

Meanwhile, the interior showcases exquisite craftsmanship with special high-end materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather, and real gold plating. All gold-plated details, both inside and outside the vehicle, are meticulously handcrafted.

Additionally, the vehicle offers a spacious VIP seat, complete with a footrest, a soundproof glass partition, electric curtains, and an intercom system for communication between the front and rear compartments.

The Bulletproof version, on the other hand, features full-body armoring, reinforced body, chassis, bulletproof glass, and a rear partition by INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing (Canada), a world-leading vehicle armoring company. This version underwent rigorous testing at the Beschussamt Ulm (Germany) center, enduring 440 shots at various positions and 11 explosions under the chassis and on the roof. Meeting the highest VPAM VR7 standard for VIP vehicles, the Lac Hong 900 LX Bulletproof version can withstand NATO Ball M80 rifle ammunition and DM51 hand grenades.

In addition to advanced safety features and run-flat tires capable of traveling 80-100 km after a puncture, the vehicle can be equipped with specialized devices such as an oxygen support system, integrated fire suppression system, satellite phone, warning lights, siren, and more, depending on the requirements and intended use.

The first batch of Lac Hong 900 LX vehicles delivered by VinFast to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes two bulletproof units and ten standard units. The Lac Hong 900 LX will be showcased at the exhibition “80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness” from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). VinFast will display the bulletproof version, which has undergone rigorous testing, in the outdoor exhibition area of Vingroup (West Yard), and the Standard version will be presented in the indoor exhibition area of Vingroup.
