Honda has unveiled a completely new version of the Honda Wave125, known as the Honda Future in Vietnam, with significant upgrades in features and amenities.
The new Honda Wave125 is equipped with modern features such as the Honda SMART Key smart key system on the cast wheel version – smartkey, a new seat opener switch, a USB-C charging port, and a multi-purpose folding hook.
Powering the new Wave125 is a PGM-Fi 4-stroke, SOHC, 125cc engine, air-cooled, paired with a 4-speed circular gearbox and a multi-plate wet clutch. The bike supports both electric and kick-start options. It boasts an impressive fuel efficiency of 71.4 km/l, equivalent to 1.4 liters/100 km.
The Wave125 features a suspension system with front telescopic forks and a rear swingarm, along with front disc brakes integrated with the new CBS technology and rear drum brakes, enhancing braking safety.
In the Thai market, the Honda Wave125 2025 is offered in three versions and five color options. The cast wheel version with the smart key system is priced at 60,800 baht (approximately 49.3 million VND) and comes in four colors: brown-black, blue-black, white-black, and black. The standard cast wheel version has the same color options and is priced at 59,400 baht (48 million VND). Meanwhile, the spoked wheel version is available in red-black and black, retailing at 57,200 baht (46.3 million VND).
The launch of the Honda Wave125 in Thailand is likely to generate significant interest in the Vietnamese market, where the Honda Future is already popular for its durability, fuel efficiency, and design that caters to a wide range of users.
