A stunning Ferrari 488 Pista Spider convertible supercar has recently been spotted on the streets of Ha Tinh, Vietnam. According to reports, the vehicle was brought here by businessman Hoang Kim Khanh and his wife for their convenience during visits to her hometown.
Entrepreneur Hai Duong also shared photos of himself with the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, humorously noting that his outfit was chosen by his wife. Initially bearing the license plate 51H-395.44, the car was later reassigned the plate 51K-858.68 after Vietnam’s new license plate customization regulations took effect.
The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is the high-performance variant of the Ferrari 488 Spider convertible supercar. Its arrival adds to the impressive collections of Vietnamese tycoons, with three units now in the country.
Ferrari optimized the 488 Pista Spider’s weight, achieving a total of just 1,380 kg—a mere 100 kg heavier than the Coupe version. The key distinction from the Ferrari 488 Pista is its retractable hardtop, which operates in 14 to 16 seconds. The Italian marque also included a rear wind deflector to minimize cabin noise.
As the 50th convertible model from Ferrari and the most powerful V8-engined open-top car in the brand’s history at its launch, the first 488 Pista Spider in Vietnam holds significant prestige.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider delivers a maximum output of 720 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm—39 horsepower more than the 488 Spider. This represents a remarkable 113 horsepower increase over its predecessor, the limited-edition 458 Speciale Aperta.
Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission featuring faster gear shifts (0.03 seconds quicker than the 488 Pista), the 488 Pista Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds and reaches a top speed of 340 km/h.
In addition to the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, Hoang Kim Khanh’s collection includes a McLaren Senna, Koenigsegg Regera, Lamborghini Aventador S, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and various other luxury sports cars and SUVs.
