Hyundai Motor Company Australia has just unveiled the second-generation, three-row Palisade SUV in the Land Down Under, starting at AUD 89,900 (approximately USD 59,338 or VND 1.57 billion at current exchange rates).

This price is significantly higher than the starting MSRP of USD 39,435 for the 2026 Hyundai Palisade in the U.S. However, in Australia, only the top-tier Calligraphy trim is offered, which starts at USD 54,560 in the U.S. and features a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 287 horsepower.

Notably, the Australian market will directly receive the Palisade Hybrid variant, giving it an edge over the U.S. market, where no hybrid option is currently available. In Vietnam, the new-generation Hyundai Palisade is expected to launch in 2026, or possibly in 2027.

Back in Australia, Hyundai is introducing its largest SUV to date, offering seven or eight-seat configurations, along with “luxurious design, a spacious cabin, practicality, and a first-ever hybrid powertrain.” The vehicle will be available in eight exterior colors and at least four interior trim options. Under the hood is the all-new 2.5 T-GDi hybrid powertrain.

This hybrid system features a dual-engine design and delivers “optimized regenerative braking and superior performance, setting new standards for all-electric range in a hybrid vehicle, while offering an engaging electric driving experience.”

Additionally, the vehicle includes a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function inside the cabin for charging devices and appliances. The new Stay Mode feature “utilizes the high-capacity hybrid battery to power the infotainment system and air conditioning when the vehicle is parked with the engine off.”

The new Palisade also features a unique suspension system, specifically developed in collaboration with HMC engineers for Australia’s diverse terrain. The powertrain delivers a combined output of 245 kW / 460 Nm (329 horsepower) and 339 lb-ft of torque.

Standard is an eight-seat configuration, with a seven-seat option available. The cabin features a seamless, curved panoramic display with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, enhancing the spacious feel and providing an intuitive user experience.

Other features include a 12-inch head-up display (HUD), a three-spoke steering wheel with column-mounted shift lever, and an island-type center console offering ample storage and convenience features such as cup holders, wireless charging pad, and USB ports. The eight-seat configuration includes three seats in the second and third rows, while the optional seven-seat layout offers two captain’s chairs in the second row.

All Hyundai Palisade SUVs come equipped with Relaxation Comfort seats in the first and second rows, reclining seats in the seven-seat variant, and power-adjustable third-row seats with fold, slide, and recline functions.
