Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) Announces the Launch of the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC Facelift “Edition 30” Celebrating 30 Years in Vietnam.

As the flagship SUV of the Mercedes-Benz brand, the GLS embodies the essence of the brand’s century-long heritage. Thus, this model has been selected for an exclusive upgrade—30 units of the GLS 450 4MATIC Facelift “Edition 30” with a suggested retail price of 5,999,000,000 VND.

A 30-YEAR JOURNEY OF EMOTIONAL MILESTONES IN VIETNAM

Since Carl Benz invented the gasoline-powered car in 1886, Mercedes-Benz has become synonymous with luxury, performance, and innovation in the global automotive industry.

In Vietnam, since its market entry in 1995, Mercedes-Benz has remained steadfast in its vision: to bring the standards of luxury vehicles and centuries-old craftsmanship closer to Vietnamese customers. Over three decades, this journey has transformed Mercedes-Benz into not only the first luxury car brand assembled domestically but also a symbol of an upscale lifestyle for its clientele. Just one year after its establishment, the E 230 (W210) model rolled off the assembly line, marking a new era for the local automotive industry.

Over 30 years, MBV has assembled over 50,000 vehicles, consistently leading the luxury segment with models like the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, and notably the GLC—the best-selling luxury SUV in Vietnam.

Today, the German automaker assembles the C-Class, E-Class, GLC, and C 43 AMG domestically, while offering a diverse range of imported models such as the S-Class, GLS, Maybach variants, and AMG performance vehicles.

GLS 450 4MATIC FACELIFT – COMMEMORATING 30 YEARS IN VIETNAM

The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC has long been hailed as the “S-Class of SUVs,” embodying the brand’s core values: luxury, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. The mid-cycle facelift features an inline-six 3.0L gasoline engine (M256M) integrated with the advanced ISG2 smart starter-generator system, delivering 381 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, ensuring smoother acceleration and improved fuel efficiency.

Limited to just 30 units for the 30th anniversary in Vietnam, this model not only receives design and technological enhancements but also serves as a token of gratitude for three decades of partnership with Vietnamese customers.

This limited edition is equipped with the Premium-Plus package, offering the ultimate in passenger comfort. Highlights include the PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side collision warning system, multi-functional front seats with massage, illuminated welcome logos featuring the iconic three-pointed star, and the AIR BALANCE package for a consistently fresh cabin. Additionally, the ENERGIZING Package combines lighting, music, and massage to create an in-car “mobile spa,” ensuring relaxation on every journey.

The second-row seats now feature additional amenities, reinforcing the GLS’s position as a luxury SUV for families and executives. Wireless charging, MBUX Rear Tablets, and premium headrests provide business-class comfort for rear passengers.

The Night Package enhances the GLS 450 4MATIC with a sportier aesthetic. The 21-inch dual five-spoke AMG wheels in contrasting colors make a bold statement on any road. The interior is further elevated with the MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment system, featuring two 11.6-inch high-resolution screens and wireless headphones, transforming each trip into a personalized experience for rear passengers.

The Off-road Engineering Package underscores the GLS 450’s versatility and robustness. This luxury SUV is not only a symbol of urban sophistication but also a capable explorer, ready to tackle challenging terrains and meet the adventurous demands of modern Vietnamese customers.

Beyond technical enhancements, the “Edition 30” carries significant symbolic value. It represents more than a vehicle—it’s a memento of Mercedes-Benz’s 30-year journey alongside its customers, reaffirming the brand’s long-term commitment to Vietnam.

A LEGACY CONTINUING TO UNFOLD

Over the past 30 years, tens of thousands of Vietnamese customers have chosen Mercedes-Benz as their companion in both business and personal life. From the first E-Class models in 1996 to today’s GLS 450 4MATIC Facelift “Edition 30,” this journey is not just the history of a brand but also a shared memory of Vietnam’s economic and social development.

The launch of this limited edition marks a significant milestone for Mercedes-Benz Vietnam and celebrates a 30-year journey filled with emotion—a journey that continues to redefine luxury driving experiences in Vietnam.
