On October 11–12, excitement buzzed across multiple provinces and cities as crowds flocked to VinFast’s “Trade Gas for Electric – For a Green Vietnam” events held simultaneously in all three regions.

The events took place at Nguyen Van Cu Park (Bac Ninh), Hue Central Cultural Center (Hue), and Golden Eagle Square in Vinhomes Grand Park (Ho Chi Minh City). Each location featured a comprehensive experience: display, test drives, old vehicle appraisal, and consultation for purchasing VinFast electric cars and motorcycles.

Many attendees seized the opportunity to test-drive VinFast electric models like the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9, along with electric motorcycles, especially the latest releases. Most test drivers were impressed by the smooth, responsive, and quiet ride of the electric vehicles.

Customers experienced electric car models and received policy advice at the event

“Initially, I just came to look around, but after test-driving the VF 6, I was genuinely surprised. It’s sturdy, quiet, responsive, and has a modern design. ‘Seeing is believing’—it’s a completely different experience from driving a gas car,” shared Minh, an attendee from Bac Ninh.

Convinced the VF 6 was a worthy upgrade from his Korean compact car, Minh decided to trade in his old vehicle and placed a deposit for the new one at the event. With support from VinFast technicians, Green Future (GF), and appraisal partners, the gas vehicle trade-in process was transparent, efficient, and professional, eliminating any concerns about complex procedures or pricing.

VinFast electric motorcycles impressed test riders with their smooth performance, distinct from gas bikes

Like Minh, many customers completed the entire process in just one morning, from test drives to driving home their new electric vehicles. After testing a VinFast electric motorcycle in Ho Chi Minh City, Hoai Anh, a resident near Vinhomes Grand Park, decided to take home the Evo Grand, drawn to its smooth ride and the detachable auxiliary battery design.

Additionally, the on-site vehicle care area was a hit, offering services like brake fluid replacement, coolant top-ups, and car washes.

Generous incentives for cars and bikes

The “all-in-one” experience—test drives, trade-ins, and electric vehicle purchases—was highly convenient for decision-making. Coupled with attractive incentives for both cars and bikes, these factors motivated many to make the switch.

Nhi and her husband from Hue shared that after years of high maintenance and fuel costs with their gas car, they were considering electric vehicles. “After learning about charging costs, battery warranties, and installment plans, we realized electric cars are more accessible and cost-effective,” Nhi said.

VinFast electric car buyers are enjoying significant incentives

Owning a VinFast electric vehicle is now more affordable than ever, thanks to generous incentives. Current electric car buyers receive a 4% direct discount, up to 100 million VND for trading in gas cars, and an additional 70 million VND in VinClub credits when registering in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Installment buyers can finance up to 80% of the vehicle cost with a 3% interest rate discount (4% for service drivers) compared to market rates.

Electric motorcycle buyers also benefit from a 10% discount, 100% registration fee coverage, free charging until May 2027, and installment financing for up to 80% of the vehicle value (90% for service bikes). Event attendees receive an additional 1 million VND discount.

Many took advantage of these “layered incentives” to switch from gas to electric at the event. “These incentives are a major motivator—no other brand offers such practical programs. Seeing the long-term savings and benefits, I decided to trade in my gas car immediately,” said Duc Trung, a Ho Chi Minh City customer who placed a deposit for the VF 8.

The enthusiastic response from customers across all regions proves that electric vehicles are not just for urban tech-savvy buyers but are suitable for everyday users nationwide. This weekend (October 18–19), the unique event series continues in Gia Lai and Hung Yen.
