VinFast Secures Two Prestigious Awards at CNN Indonesia Awards 2025, Solidifying Its Leadership in Sustainable Energy Transition and Electric Vehicle Development in Indonesia.

Last weekend, VinFast was honored with two significant accolades at the CNN Indonesia Awards 2025: “Outstanding Innovation in Sustainable Electric Transportation” and “Notable Contribution to Independent Energy Development.”

According to CNN Indonesia, these awards recognize VinFast’s remarkable efforts in delivering affordable, green, and sustainable mobility solutions tailored to the Indonesian population. The Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer has made substantial contributions to reducing reliance on fossil fuels while fostering green economic growth and energy independence.

VinFast’s Subang plant in West Java is nearing completion and will soon commence operations. Electric taxis produced by VinFast, part of Green SM’s (GSM’s local brand) fleet, have become a familiar sight in Jakarta and are set to expand to other regions.

CNN Indonesia highlights that VinFast not only brings electric vehicle technology to Indonesia but also introduces innovative business models that enhance consumer access to green transportation. The network particularly commends the battery subscription program for the VF 3 model, which allows users to own electric vehicles at a reasonable cost while enjoying free maintenance, repairs, and battery replacements if charging capacity falls below 70%.

This solution, as noted by CNN Indonesia, broadens access to electric vehicles for the middle class and encourages local businesses to innovate in renewable energy.

“With a vision to create a sustainable future for all, the company continuously innovates to provide environmentally friendly and accessible electric vehicles for the community,” CNN Indonesia remarked.

Mr. Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, expressed pride in receiving the awards and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s energy transition. “We are ready to collaborate with the government to shift towards green transportation. VinFast will continue to grow alongside Indonesia by creating more job opportunities,” he stated at the CNN Indonesia Awards 2025 event on October 31.

The CNN Indonesia Awards is an annual prestigious event organized by Indonesia’s leading news channel. It serves as a platform to honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to Indonesia’s development, setting benchmarks and inspiring others. Since its inception in 2018, the awards have garnered attention from leaders, major businesses, and the Indonesian media, becoming a trusted measure of positive impact in the archipelago.
