Toyota Vietnam Officially Announces Recall Program: “Automatic Transmission Control Software Update for Toyota and Lexus Vehicles” (hereinafter referred to as the Program).

The implementation of this Program once again demonstrates Toyota Vietnam’s commitment to the interests of its customers—those who have consistently cherished and trusted Toyota products in Vietnam.

The Program will be officially launched by Toyota Vietnam starting November 17, 2025, at all Toyota and Lexus dealerships nationwide. The specific list and number of affected vehicles in Vietnam are as follows:

Affected vehicles are equipped with a 12.3-inch dashboard display that shows various information (warning lights and indicators, gauges, notifications, etc.). During use, the display may fail to illuminate after the ignition is turned on. Driving without a functioning speedometer and warning indicators can cause drivers to miss critical information, increasing the risk of accidents.

Customers with affected vehicles will receive notifications from Toyota and Lexus dealerships inviting them to bring their vehicles in for inspection. Based on the inspection results, the transmission control software will be updated. The estimated inspection and repair/update time is approximately 1.9–2.7 hours per vehicle.

Toyota Vietnam urges customers with affected vehicles to promptly bring their cars to any Toyota or Lexus dealership nationwide for a free inspection and update. To minimize wait times, customers are encouraged to contact their dealership in advance to schedule an appointment. For detailed information about the Program or to check if your vehicle is affected, customers can access information through the following channels:

Visit the websites: www.toyota.com.vn or www.lexus.com.vn

Contact Toyota and Lexus dealerships nationwide directly

For non-genuine imported Toyota/Lexus vehicles affected by this Program, upon request from the vehicle owner, Toyota Vietnam will verify detailed information. Once the issue is confirmed and approved, Toyota and Lexus dealerships will conduct free inspections and updates for customers.
