The organizers of the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards 2025 honored VinFast with two prestigious awards: “Pioneering Brand in Green Transition and Sustainable Development” and “Best Compact SUV of the Year” for the VF 7 model.
This recognition further solidifies VinFast’s strong presence in Indonesia, underscoring the company’s role, reputation, and vision in advancing green transportation across the archipelago.
In the business category, VinFast was awarded the “Pioneering Brand in Green Transition and Sustainable Development.” This accolade celebrates VinFast’s comprehensive approach to green mobility, encompassing production, distribution, charging infrastructure, after-sales services, and innovative initiatives like its pioneering battery leasing program. These efforts have significantly contributed to Indonesia’s green economy by creating new jobs, enhancing industrial self-reliance, and accelerating the shift toward sustainable transportation.
Building a green mobility ecosystem is at the core of VinFast’s strategy. The company is steadily expanding its ecosystem, which includes electric vehicles, a network of dealerships, and authorized service centers across Indonesia. Alongside establishing an electric vehicle assembly plant in Subang, VinFast has partnered with strategic allies such as Green SM and V-Green to strengthen charging infrastructure and operational services.
At the same event, the VinFast VF 7, a compact SUV in the C-segment, was named “Best Compact SUV of the Year.” It was praised for seamlessly blending modern European design, smart technology, and practical functionality, making it an ideal choice for Indonesian consumers. This award highlights VinFast’s commitment to delivering eco-friendly products.
The Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards is a key component of CNBC Indonesia’s annual awards, honoring sustainable businesses that make significant contributions to the national economy. The judging panel comprises industry experts, academic representatives, senior economic editors, and government officials. Award decisions are based on independent research conducted by CNBC’s team, ensuring transparency and objectivity.
Earlier, VinFast made a strong impression at the CNN Indonesia Awards 2025, securing two awards: “Outstanding Innovation in Sustainable Electric Mobility” and “Notable Contribution to Energy Independence.” These accolades recognize VinFast’s innovative business model, which makes electric vehicles more accessible to Indonesians, reduces reliance on fossil fuels, and supports the nation’s energy independence goals.
Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, stated, “VinFast is immensely proud to receive these dual awards, which we see as a testament to our relentless efforts in Indonesia. We believe innovation is meaningful only when its benefits reach the community, and this drives VinFast to continue expanding our comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem. Our goal is to provide a more convenient experience for users while partnering with Indonesia to achieve a greener and more civilized future.”
In addition to the CNN and CNBC awards, VinFast has made its mark in Indonesia by winning four awards at the Surabaya International Auto Show 2025. The VF 3 mini SUV was honored as the “Most Impressive Electric Vehicle Newcomer” at the Carvaganza Editors’ Choice Awards. Internationally, VinFast was included in TIME Magazine’s list of the “500 Best Companies in Asia-Pacific 2025” and received multiple accolades at the Effie Awards Asia-Pacific.
With its diverse product range and comprehensive ecosystem, VinFast is strengthening its position in Southeast Asia, particularly in key markets like Indonesia, by making meaningful contributions to the regions it serves.
