Recently, Honda unveiled the mid-life refresh of its three-row Pilot SUV, marking three years since the current generation’s debut.

The new 2026 Honda Pilot retains its large SUV stance but with refined muscularity. Sharper body lines and a flatter, wider hood lend a truck-inspired aesthetic, popular in the U.S. market.

The front fascia sees the most significant changes. A bold, upright grille with large mesh inserts dominates, while redesigned LED headlights seamlessly integrate with the grille for a unified look. A wider lower intake and rugged skid plate emphasize off-road capability, particularly on the TrailSport variant.

At the rear, the 2026 Pilot features sharper LED taillights. An extended rear bumper with a larger skid plate enhances practicality for rough terrain. New 20-inch alloy wheels with a sporty multi-spoke design further accentuate its athletic character.

Honda introduces three new exterior colors: Solar Silver Metallic, Smoke Blue Pearl, and Ash Green Metallic (exclusive to TrailSport), enhancing the Pilot’s visibility in a crowded segment. A standard roof rack adds versatility for long journeys.

The 2026 Pilot’s cabin receives a comprehensive overhaul, featuring a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. The updated system incorporates Google Built-in, Wi-Fi 5G, and wireless connectivity. All six trims (Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite, Black Edition) come standard with a digital cockpit and power tailgate.

Higher trims offer unique features: TrailSport includes heated rear seats and brown leather with orange stitching; Touring gains a 360-degree camera; Elite boasts ultra-suede upholstery with diamond stitching for a premium touch.

Honda enhances cabin quietness with acoustic glass and new sound-absorbing materials in the doors and hood, reducing noise levels by 2-3 dB.

Safety remains a priority with the updated Honda Sensing suite, now including a post-collision braking system to mitigate secondary impacts.

Powering the 2026 Pilot is the familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel drive remains optional on Sport and EX-L trims and standard on higher trims.

The 2026 Honda Pilot is scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships in December, with pricing details to be announced closer to launch. There’s currently no indication of a Vietnamese market release.
