At a recent event in Ho Chi Minh City, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam unveiled plans to introduce a lineup of new products to domestic customers starting in 2026. The models include the C5, J5, O4, J6, C7, and J8. Notably, the Omoda O4 will be available in four variants: gasoline, hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and fully electric (BEV).
The Omoda O4 is essentially a rebranded version of the C3 model, first introduced in April this year. Previously, at the Chery International User Conference 2025 held in October 2025, this vehicle was showcased and presented. In international markets, it is known as the Omoda 4, aligning with Chery’s new naming strategy.
Detailed technical specifications for the Omoda O4 have not yet been released. It is known, however, that the vehicle will fall into the C-SUV segment, positioned between compact and mid-size SUVs.

The Omoda O4 impresses with a design reminiscent of the Lamborghini Urus, including its exterior paint options. It features a dual-layer headlight system with slim daytime running LEDs above the main headlights. The center of the front fascia boasts a glossy black panel with a narrow air intake above the license plate mount. The angular front bumper incorporates wide air intakes.

Additionally, the Omoda O4 features squared wheel arches, aerodynamic door handles, a blacked-out C-pillar, sporty alloy wheels, and L-shaped taillights with a unique lightning bolt graphic. Sharp character lines run along the sides, extending from the front to the rear lights.

Inside, the C-SUV offers a Starship Cockpit-inspired interior, drawing cues from spacecraft design. It includes a narrow digital instrument cluster, a large vertical infotainment screen, and a flat-bottom sport steering wheel. Notably, it features a red button on the center console, reminiscent of Lamborghini’s styling.

The Omoda O4 displayed in China in October 2025 featured a “225T” badge on the tailgate, suggesting it shares the same 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the Omoda C5. In the C5, this engine delivers 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque.

The gasoline variant of the Omoda O4 may share the C5’s engine.
Details about the Omoda O4’s other powertrains—hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric—remain undisclosed.
