Lexus Unveils the LX 500d in Southeast Asia

The Lexus LX 500d has officially debuted in the Southeast Asian market, available in two variants priced between 15 and 15.5 million baht (approximately USD 420,000 – USD 435,000).

Boasting commanding dimensions of 5,100 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,895 mm in height, with a 2,850 mm wheelbase, the LX 500d exudes a formidable presence.

The front fascia impresses with LED headlights featuring Adaptive High-beam System (AHS), LED fog lights, and a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM). UV-resistant acoustic glass, a moonroof, and roof rails further enhance its premium appeal. The 22-inch alloy wheels, paired with 265/50 R22 tires, underscore its robust and luxurious stance.

The LX 500d’s cabin epitomizes luxury and comfort. The front seats offer 10-way power adjustment, heating, and ventilation. The Premium variant features a four-seat configuration with executive-class rear seats, while the F Sport model accommodates seven passengers. A tri-zone climate control system ensures optimal comfort throughout the cabin.

The center console is equipped with dual displays: a 12.3-inch upper screen and a 7-inch lower screen. Under normal conditions, the larger screen displays navigation and entertainment, while the smaller screen controls climate settings. During off-road driving, the interface adapts to provide terrain visualization and detailed vehicle performance metrics.

Powering the LX 500d is a twin-turbocharged 3.3L V6 diesel engine, delivering 304 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive, this SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 8 seconds. Its substantial torque and fuel efficiency make the diesel variant a standout choice.

To enhance off-road capabilities, the LX 500d is equipped with the Multi-Terrain Select system, offering six driving modes. Advanced features such as Crawl Control, Hill Descent Control, and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) ensure superior performance across diverse terrains.
