In the Industrial Property Gazette No. 452, Volume A, Issue 2, November 2025, VinFast registered design patents for three mysterious vehicle models. Among them, two are SUVs, and one is a sedan.
From the images published in the Industrial Property Gazette, all three new VinFast models feature large grille designs. This has led many to speculate that these are the hybrid vehicles VinFast is rumored to launch in Vietnam next year.
The speculation originated from an event hosted by Chinese tire manufacturer Sailun, which operates a factory in Tay Ninh province. During the event, Sailun used images featuring the VinFast logo to showcase hybrid tire lines they plan to sell in Vietnam starting in 2026.
According to rumors, VinFast’s new hybrid models will be based on the electric SUVs VF 8 and VF 9. These vehicles are likely to be Extended-Range Electric Vehicles (EREVs), where a gasoline engine acts as a generator to charge the battery, while an electric motor drives the wheels.
Beyond the powertrain, the three new VinFast models boast striking designs. One of the SUVs features a large, three-row interior. This model includes a grille extending down to the front bumper, sleek headlights, and large vertical air intakes at the front corners. The rear features two vertical light strips centered on the tailgate.

The sedan shares a similar design to the larger SUV, appearing as a lower-riding variant of the SUV.
The third model is a smaller SUV with a sportier and more youthful design. It features prominent body lines, a wide grille, smoothly swept-back headlights, and VinFast’s signature wing-shaped detail on the tailgate. Additional highlights include a coupe-like sloping roofline and aerodynamic wheels.

VinFast has yet to officially announce or confirm any details about these three models. If the rumors prove true, VinFast appears to be diversifying its product lineup, targeting consumers who prefer electric vehicles but are concerned about range limitations and long charging times.
