Recently, Nissan unveiled its new urban SUV, the Kait, set to replace the Kicks Play—the successor to the Kicks previously sold in Vietnam.
The Nissan Kait will be manufactured at the Resende plant and exported to over 20 South American markets starting in 2026.
The vehicle measures 4,304 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, 1,611 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. Its luggage capacity is 432 liters, and customers can choose from six exterior color options.
Built on the V-platform, similar to the Kicks Play, the Kait features an entirely new design. The front end impresses with layered LED headlights, dynamic DRL strips, and a large grille. New alloy wheels enhance its modern look, while the rear stands out with connected taillights and the “KAIT” emblem centered on the tailgate for better brand recognition.
The interior is equipped with a range of amenities, including a 7-inch multi-info display, a 9-inch Pioneer entertainment screen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and adaptive cruise control. Active safety features (ADAS) vary by trim level.
Powering the Nissan Kait is a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine delivering 113 hp on ethanol (110 hp on gasoline) and a maximum torque of 149 Nm, paired with a CVT transmission.
In Brazil, the Kait is available in four trims, starting at 117,990 reais, approximately 602 million VND.
