VinFast EC Van Unveiled: The Urban Electric Compact Cargo Vehicle Revolution

Priced at 285 million VND, the EC Van emerges as a fresh option for small businesses, delivery companies, and urban logistics providers seeking a nimble, cost-effective, and eco-friendly transportation solution.

Measuring 3,767 mm in length and 1,680 mm in width, the EC Van is comparable in size to a Hyundai Grand i10, enabling it to navigate through narrow city streets with ease. Its height of 1,790 mm and a turning radius of 5.1 meters prioritize maneuverability over aerodynamic efficiency.

The front fascia features a distinctive chrome wing-shaped bar encompassing the signature “V” logo, a design element shared across many VinFast models. The headlights utilize halogen bulbs, while the manually adjustable side mirrors resemble those found on the VF 3. Although fog lights are absent, the front bumper includes provisions for their future installation.

At the rear, the taillights have been slightly modified from the initial 3D design. The vehicle is equipped with 14-inch black-painted steel wheels, devoid of decorative covers.

The EC Van‘s cabin embraces a minimalist, utilitarian design philosophy, featuring fabric seats, basic materials, and unadorned door panels. The absence of floor mats and a center armrest maximizes the space between the front seats.

Contrary to the initial renderings, the windows now feature electric controls instead of manual cranks, operated via switches located beneath the radio. The steering wheel shares its design with the VF 3, and the gear selector is positioned behind it. A compact display provides essential information such as battery level, speed, energy consumption, and range.

The manual air conditioning system employs traditional rotary dials for straightforward operation during extended periods of use. The vehicle also includes storage compartments and a 12-24V power outlet for auxiliary devices. The braking system utilizes a conventional setup suited to the vehicle’s operational characteristics and payload capacity.

The VinFast EC Van is powered by an electric motor delivering 40 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 75 km/h. Its 18.3 kWh battery provides an estimated range of 175 km on a single charge, as per the NEDC standard.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, low operating costs, and ample cargo capacity, the EC Van is poised to become a preferred choice for individual entrepreneurs, delivery startups, small logistics companies, and mini-supermarkets requiring efficient urban transportation solutions.
