After extensive road testing, the commercial version of the VinFast EC Van is now ready for delivery to early depositors.
The featured vehicle is part of a batch exclusively allocated to Xanh SM and will be deployed as an electric cargo taxi.
The VinFast EC Van measures 3,767 mm in length and 1,680 mm in width, comparable to compact cars like the Hyundai Grand i10. This compact design ensures agility in narrow urban streets. With a height of 1,790 mm and a turning radius of 5.1 meters, the van prioritizes maneuverability over aerodynamic efficiency.
The exterior boasts Xanh SM’s signature green color. The design remains largely unchanged from earlier test models. The front fascia features a distinctive chrome wing-shaped bar surrounding the “V” logo, a hallmark of many VinFast vehicles. The headlights use halogen bulbs, while the manually adjustable side mirrors resemble those on the VF 3. Although fog lights are absent, the front bumper includes provisions for future installation.
At the rear, the taillights have been slightly modified from the initial 3D design. The van is equipped with 14-inch black-painted steel wheels, devoid of decorative covers.
The EC Van’s cabin is designed with practicality in mind, featuring fabric seats, basic materials, and plain door panels. The absence of floor mats and a center armrest maximizes space between the front seats.
Unlike the initial renderings, the windows now feature electric controls instead of manual cranks, operated via switches located below the radio. The steering wheel mirrors the VF 3’s design, with a gear selector positioned behind it. A compact display provides essential information such as battery level, speed, energy consumption, and range.
The van includes a manually controlled rotary air conditioning system, a storage compartment, and a 12–24V power outlet. The braking system remains traditional and mechanical. The rear cargo area offers approximately 2,600 liters of space and a maximum payload of 600 kg, ideal for small businesses, vendors, and urban delivery services.
The VinFast EC Van is powered by a 40 hp electric motor with 110 Nm of torque, achieving a top speed of 75 km/h. Its 18.3 kWh battery provides an estimated range of 175 km on a single NEDC-certified charge.
Priced at 285 million VND, the VinFast EC Van targets small businesses, individual entrepreneurs, and urban transport companies seeking a cost-effective, eco-friendly, and agile vehicle.
