Electric Scooter for Students: Honda ICON e Now Available at a Discounted Price of 14 Million VND

It's no surprise that dealerships are slashing prices on the Honda ICON e: as we approach the Lunar New Year. This time of year traditionally sees a surge in car purchases among Vietnamese consumers.

In early December 2025, several Honda dealerships in Vietnam slashed prices on the ICON e: electric scooter by 5-8 million VND, bringing the actual selling price down to 20-21 million VND from the listed price of 26.9-27.3 million VND. Now, this electric scooter, targeted at students, has seen an even deeper price cut.

Specifically, many dealerships are now offering the Honda ICON e: for just 17 million VND, a 10 million VND reduction from the listed price. This discount includes 5 million VND from the official promotion and an additional 5 million VND from the dealership. Some dealerships are even offering a 12 million VND discount, allowing customers to own the Honda ICON e: for only 14 million VND.

Note that this price does not include the battery. If you choose to purchase the battery, it will cost an additional 10 million VND. Alternatively, you can opt for a battery rental plan at 350,000 VND per month.

The additional price reduction for the Honda ICON e: is not entirely surprising, as it comes during the pre-Tet period when consumer demand for vehicles in Vietnam typically surges. With the current dealership prices, the Honda electric scooter can better compete with rivals like the VinFast Flazz (16 million VND) and Yadea Vekoo (15 million VND). However, unlike the Honda ICON e:, these competitors include the battery in their pricing.

The ICON e: is Honda’s first electric scooter produced in Vietnam. Since it does not require a driver’s license, Honda positions it as an ideal choice for students aged 16 and above.

The design and dimensions of this scooter are also well-suited for students. It features a seat height of just 742 mm, a ground clearance of 132 mm, and a weight of 89 kg.

Additionally, the Honda ICON e: comes with notable features such as always-on LED headlights, a rear light integrated with turn signals, a minimalist logo, a spacious flat footrest, a 26-liter storage compartment under the seat, two front storage compartments, a USB Type A phone charging port, an LCD digital instrument cluster, and a combined CBS braking system.

The Honda ICON e: is equipped with a rear-wheel-mounted electric motor delivering a maximum power output of 1.5 kW and a peak torque of 85 Nm. The 30.6 Ah lithium-ion battery, located under the footrest and rated IP67 for water resistance, provides a range of 50 km and a top speed of 49 km/h.

Users can charge the battery either on the scooter or by removing it. The battery’s top surface features a rubber handle for easy carrying and indicator lights to monitor the charging status. Charging from 0% to 100% takes 7 hours and 20 minutes, while charging from 25% to 75% takes 3.5 hours.

The Honda ICON e: comes with a 3-year warranty in Vietnam, with no mileage limit.
