Following its launch in Thailand, the Geely EX2 is now expanding its reach to Indonesia. In the archipelago nation, the vehicle is priced between 233-273 million Rupiah (approximately $16,500-$19,000) for the Pro and Max variants.

The Geely EX2 expands its market presence in Southeast Asia, starting at $16,500.

Much like Thailand, Indonesia’s affordable electric vehicle market is highly competitive and crowded. Wuling, a brand with over 8 years of presence in Indonesia, leads the segment with its compact and budget-friendly options. To compete, the Geely EX2 must offer a highly competitive price point.

Both the Pro and Max variants of the Geely EX2 in Indonesia feature a rear-mounted electric motor delivering a maximum output of 116 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 11.5 seconds. The vehicle comes with a single battery option, a 40.8 kWh unit, providing a range of 395 km under the NEDC standard.

Additional features in the Indonesian market include power-adjustable driver’s seats in the Max variant. Even the base Pro model comes equipped with automatic LED Projector headlights. Similar to the Thai version, the Indonesian Geely EX2 features interior ambient lighting that mimics cityscapes on the dashboard and door panels.

Safety features include 4 airbags in the Pro variant and 6 airbags in the Max variant. The Max variant also includes an advanced ADAS safety package, featuring automatic emergency braking (AEB) and adaptive cruise control (ACC). However, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear collision warning, and door-opening warnings are not available.

Indonesian customers can choose from colors such as Nebula Beige, Comet Grey, Star Silver, and Moon White. The Max variant offers additional options: Aurora Pink and Stellar Blue. Interior color options include Dark Grey for the Pro variant and Ivory White for the Max variant.

Geely has announced that the EX2 will launch in Vietnam in 2026, positioning it as a competitor to the BYD Dolphin in the B-segment 5-door hatchback category.

The Geely EX2 is set to launch in Vietnam next year.

The pricing for the Geely EX2 in Vietnam remains undisclosed. It will be Geely’s second electric vehicle in Vietnam, following the EX5.
