Helicopter lifts are a spectacle, especially when they involve luxury penthouses or high-profile events. However, using a helicopter to hoist a vehicle into the wilderness is unprecedented, let alone a “flying bull” with a retail price of $300,000.
The owner of the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato insisted on seeing his prized possession tethered to a helicopter, soaring along a dirt trail at River Run Park in Jacksonville, Texas. His plan? To indulge in some off-road thrills before embarking on a quest for the perfect Christmas tree.
Experience Lamborghini Off-Roading Like Never Before: Helicopter Drop Included
The Verde Selvans Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato belongs to none other than Richard Rawlings, the mastermind behind Gas Monkey Garage and creator of jaw-dropping custom builds showcased at SEMA over the years.
In his latest daring feat, Rawlings had his Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato airlifted onto a dirt road. The helicopter gently touched down, allowing the wheels to make contact with the ground, before taking off again, leaving Rawlings to revel in his adventure.

Rawlings navigated the muddy terrain with precision, splashing through puddles and coating his crew in mud, proving the Sterrato’s versatility on rough terrain. While it may not match the ground clearance or suspension of a Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender, or Mercedes-Benz G-Class, it holds its own in challenging conditions.
Richard’s quest for the perfect Christmas tree led him to Sandone, Dallas, Texas, where he sought the tallest tree imaginable, envisioning it perched atop his Lamborghini. With the car’s roof rack in place, all that remained was ensuring the exhaust didn’t set the tree ablaze.
Richard and his Huracan Sterrato, adorned with a colossal Christmas tree, became an unforgettable sight on the streets. While the tree found its place in his garage, the Lamborghini itself became a coveted prize. One lucky individual would soon own one of only 1,499 units produced in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.

The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato boasts a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine, delivering 602 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. This powerhouse accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 162 mph (260 km/h).
A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission channels power to all four wheels, aided by a mechanical rear locking differential. Essentially, it’s an off-road-capable supercar.
Lamborghini introduced a new Rally driving mode, complementing the existing Strada and Sport modes. Accessible via the ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management) system, Rally mode optimizes traction on low-grip surfaces, further enhancing the Sterrato’s off-road prowess.

The Porsche 911 Dakar, with a global production limit of 2,500 units, has already seen four of these cars arrive in Vietnam. However, its rival, the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, has yet to make an official appearance in the country. The Italian supercar has only briefly graced Vietnamese shores during the Gumball 3000 2024 event, leaving car enthusiasts eager for more.
