Japanese automaker Mazda has officially unveiled the all-electric CX-6e SUV to the global market. This model is the international version of the EZ-60, which garnered attention in China in mid-2025.

Unlike its Chinese counterpart, which features a range-extender (EREV) option, the international CX-6e is purely electric, focusing on stable performance and an engaging driving experience.

The Mazda CX-6e is equipped with a rear-mounted single motor (RWD), delivering 258 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. It boasts a 78 kWh LFP battery, offering a range of 484 km under the European WLTP standard. While this falls short of the 600 km range (CLTC standard) in China due to stricter testing, the CX-6e impresses with its 195 kW DC fast-charging capability, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds, this SUV promises versatility for both urban and long-distance driving.

The Mazda CX-6e features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, fine-tuned by European engineers to ensure precise body control and Mazda’s signature driving pleasure. The regenerative braking system is optimized for seamless transitions to friction brakes, ensuring safety and passenger comfort.

Aesthetically, the Mazda CX-6e showcases the sleek lines of the Mazda 3 Hatchback, framed within a robust SUV chassis. The “shark nose” grille is now sealed and integrated with a light strip, creating a modern visual identity. Beyond aesthetics, Mazda demonstrates technical ingenuity with nine strategically placed air vents around the body, highlighted by the flying buttress C-pillar design for optimal aerodynamics. Premium versions further enhance the futuristic appeal by replacing traditional side mirrors with digital cameras and featuring 21-inch alloy wheels with a precision petal design.

Inside the cabin, Mazda introduces a massive 26-inch infotainment screen spanning across to the passenger side. All physical controls are integrated into the touchscreen or accessible via voice commands (“Hey Mazda”) and hand gestures. The audio system is a true mobile theater with 23 speakers and 1,280 watts of power. Notably, the headrest speakers allow the driver and front passenger to connect independently via Bluetooth, catering to personalized entertainment without disturbing others.

The Mazda CX-6e also offers unique features such as the Pet Comfort mode for furry companions and a panoramic sunroof that blocks 99.7% of UV rays.

Safety-wise, the vehicle meets the strictest European standards with a comprehensive ADAS package, including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot collision prevention, and a rear-seat child detection camera.
