In December 2025, Vietnam’s automotive market witnessed significant growth. Members of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) sold 47,067 vehicles, marking a 19.6% increase compared to the previous month. Hyundai Thanh Cong recorded sales of 6,704 units, reflecting a 22.7% growth. Meanwhile, VinFast sold 27,649 electric vehicles, a 19.2% increase.

This growth reshaped the top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam for December 2025. The list saw notable shifts in rankings, with one entirely new model, the Mitsubishi Destinator, entering the top 10.

1. VinFast Limo Green: 10,981 units

The VinFast Limo Green once again topped Vietnam’s sales chart in December, with 10,981 units sold, a 13.8% increase. This mid-size MPV also leads its segment in Vietnam.

Launched in August 2025, the Limo Green has accumulated 27,127 sales. Its success stems from its spacious 7-seat interior, competitive pricing (749 million VND with battery), low operating costs, and free charging until June 30, 2027.

2. VinFast VF 5: 5,435 units

The VinFast VF 5 secured second place with 5,435 units sold, a 76.9% increase. Its 2025 total reached 43,913 units, making it Vietnam’s second best-selling vehicle, just behind its sibling, the VF 3.

Priced at 529 million VND with battery, the VF 5 is highly competitive in Vietnam’s A-segment SUV market. It shares advantages with the Limo Green, including low operating costs and free charging.

3. VinFast VF 3: 3,925 units

Unlike its siblings, the VinFast VF 3 saw a 15.6% sales decline in December, with 3,925 units sold. However, its 2025 cumulative sales of 44,585 units still lead the market.

The VF 3 is Vietnam’s “national electric vehicle,” offering compact design, urban-friendly range, and a price of 299 million VND with battery. Its extensive charging network and free charging until June 2027 boost its appeal.

4. VinFast VF 6: 3,541 units

The VF 6 ranked fourth with 3,541 units sold, a 26.4% increase. Its 2025 total reached 23,291 units, making it Vietnam’s best-selling B-segment SUV.

5. Mitsubishi Xforce: 3,163 units

The Mitsubishi Xforce saw a 43.5% sales increase in December but remained behind the VinFast VF 3 in the B-segment SUV market. Its 2025 total reached 15,254 units.

7. Mitsubishi Xpander: 2,575 units

In December, the Xpander lost its top spot in Vietnam’s MPV segment to the VinFast Limo Green. It sold 2,575 units, a 15.2% increase, with a 2025 total of 18,016 units.
