VinFast VF 5: 5,435 Units
The VinFast VF 5 once again set a clear sales benchmark in its segment. In December 2025, it sold 5,435 units, a remarkable 76.9% growth, securing the second position in Vietnam’s overall market, just behind the Limo Green. Its cumulative sales for 2025 reached 43,913 units, also ranking second, following the VF 3.

The VinFast VF 5 offers an attractive price starting at 529 million VND, including the battery. Its compact design, adequate features, low operating costs, extended warranty, nationwide charging network, and free charging until June 30, 2027, make it a top choice.
Powered by a 134 hp electric motor with 135 Nm of torque, the VF 5 is the most powerful in its segment. On a full charge, it can travel up to 326 km under the NEDC cycle.
Kia Sonet: 1,149 Units
The Kia Sonet secured the second spot in December 2025 with 1,149 units sold, a 68.4% increase. This was one of the rare months in 2025 where it surpassed the 1,000-unit mark, bringing its annual total to 5,944 units.

The Kia Sonet is a favorite among Vietnamese consumers for its appealing design, competitive features, reputable brand, and price range of 499–624 million VND. Additionally, it has benefited from frequent discounts in recent months.
Under the hood, the Sonet features a 1.5L four-cylinder engine producing 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission simulating 8 gears.
Toyota Raize: 341 Units
Unlike its competitors, the Toyota Raize had a less successful month, with sales dropping 10.2% to 341 units. Its 2025 cumulative sales reached 3,630 units, ranking third in the segment.

The Raize, priced from 510 million VND, has lost its advantage as the most affordable compact SUV. However, it compensates with its design, features, and brand reputation.
It is powered by a 1.0L turbocharged engine delivering 98 hp and 140 Nm of torque, paired with a D-CVT transmission.

In December 2025, the Hyundai Venue sold 267 units, a 44.3% increase. Its annual sales totaled 2,289 units, which is relatively modest.

The Suzuki Fronx remained at the bottom of the segment in December 2025, selling 115 units, a slight 0.8% decline. Its annual sales totaled just 231 units.
