Following the arrival of a pink Porsche 718 Spyder RS in Vietnam, car enthusiasts have spotted another quietly making its debut on the streets—a striking yellow Porsche 718 Spyder RS, already registered and ready to roll.
This brings the total to two Porsche 718 Spyder RS models now cruising in Vietnam, alongside two Porsche 911 GT3 RS in white and black. Expect more high-performance vehicles to surface soon.

The Porsche 718 Spyder RS is powered by a 4.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine, borrowed from the Porsche 911 GT3, delivering an impressive 493 horsepower and 449 Nm of torque. This marks a 79 horsepower increase over the standard 718 Spyder.
Paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission, this high-performance roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The front end of the new Porsche 718 Spyder RS closely resembles that of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS.
The carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) hood features a wide vent above the bumper. Two NACA ducts enhance brake cooling without compromising aerodynamics. The winglets at the outer edges of the bumper contribute to increased downforce.

Unlike the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, which features a large rear wing, the 718 Spyder RS opts for a duck-tail spoiler, similar to the 718 Spyder but larger and slightly modified. This design maintains balance and stability, ensuring a smooth open-top driving experience.
The lightweight manual soft top consists of two detachable parts: a fabric sunshade and a rear glass wind deflector. Both can be used independently and easily stowed behind the seats when not in use.
Weighing just 18.3 kg, the top is 7.6 kg lighter than the 718 Spyder’s and a remarkable 16.5 kg lighter than the standard 718 Boxster’s electric roof. The fabric alone weighs 8 kg, allowing drivers to leave it behind for a lighter ride on dry days.
