After a lengthy wait for registration procedures, the first Porsche 911 GT3 RS of the 992 generation has officially hit the streets of Vietnam.

According to reports, Vietnam has welcomed two Porsche 911 GT3 RS models, imported officially. Additionally, there’s a 911 GT3 Touring variant in the country.

The newly unveiled model boasts a striking white exterior, accented with vibrant red details on the sides and wheels. There’s strong evidence suggesting this vehicle is equipped with the Weissach Package—a premium option focused on weight optimization and enhanced performance.

This upgrade introduces numerous carbon fiber exterior components and parts crafted from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), including front/rear anti-roll bars, rear axle covers, and an interior roll cage. These enhancements not only reduce overall weight but also bolster the vehicle’s structural rigidity. For those seeking peak performance, the optional magnesium wheels significantly cut unsprung mass, improving steering responsiveness.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS makes a bold statement with its large “swan neck” rear wing—a first for Porsche, where the wing’s edge sits higher than the roof. Notably, it features a Drag Reduction System (DRS), inspired by Formula 1 racing. Drivers can adjust the wing’s angle automatically or manually via a steering wheel button to optimize downforce or minimize drag for maximum speed on straightaways.

Under the hood, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS houses a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter Boxer 6-cylinder engine, delivering 525 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque. Unlike more versatile models, this version forgoes a manual transmission, opting exclusively for a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox with short gear ratios. Thanks to a single-throttle intake system and rigid valve train derived from motorsport, this “beast” accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 296 km/h.
