In the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show held in November last year, Toyota officially introduced the new generation of the Camry to customers in China. Starting from the first day of 2024, Toyota began selling this D-segment sedan. In the Chinese market, the 2024 Toyota Camry has a total of 9 variants with prices ranging from 173,800 to 208,800 Chinese Yuan (approximately 596 – 716 million Vietnamese Dong).
As reported, the 9th-generation Toyota Camry continues to be developed on the TNGA platform as before. The car comes in two design styles named Sport and Luxury. The difference between these two styles is clearly shown in the front area of the car.
Specifically, the Sport-style 2024 Toyota Camry is equipped with a large grille with a glossy black honeycomb grille. Alongside that are 2 vertical air vents also painted in glossy black, which create a sporty feeling and integrate round fog lights.

In the Luxury style, this model owns a narrower grille with fox-eye-shaped grille the same color as the body, reminiscent of the Kia K8. At the two corners of the car’s front area are narrower air vents compared to the Sport style.

Regardless of the style, the 2024 Toyota Camry has a newly designed front end, inspired by a hammerhead shark, similar to the Prius and Crown. This design style helps the Toyota D-segment sedan look younger and more stylish.
Between the two headlights of the new Toyota Camry is a narrow grille that integrates a radar storage compartment. The car’s headlights have a new, more compact design surrounded by LED daytime running lights.
In the meantime, the sides of the car do not change much compared to the previous generation, along with prominent stamped lines extending from the front fender to the rear lights. The rims of this car have a diameter of 17 inches or 19 inches, depending on the version. The roof can be painted in contrasting color to the body.
At the rear, this D-segment sedan is equipped with new taillights with a more compact “C” shape design. The car’s rear bumper is also improved in a more sophisticated and elegant direction.

Similarly to the exterior, the interior of the 2024 Toyota Camry has also been given a fresh breath with a younger and more luxurious direction. In the Sport style, the car is equipped with sports leather and suede seats. Meanwhile, in the Luxury style, the seats are covered in regular leather.

Furthermore, the interior of this car also features a multi-level dashboard, a new 3-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a large touchscreen display. In the base version, the car uses a dashboard with a 7-inch LCD screen and an 8-inch infotainment screen. In the high-end version, the car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a center touchscreen of the same size. Just below the center touchscreen is a touch surface integrated into the dashboard surface for adjusting the air conditioning.

In addition, the 2024 Toyota Camry is also equipped with an operating system developed by Huawei, the mobile phone manufacturer. Thanks to that, the car has improved voice control features using AI artificial intelligence. Besides, the car also supports more applications such as WeChat, navigation, and software updates via Wi-Fi.
The other notable features of the 2024 Toyota Camry in the Chinese market include power-adjustable/heated/ventilated seats, a HUD windshield with augmented reality technology, wireless Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, a panoramic 2-piece sunroof with an area of 1.03 m2, a 15W wireless phone charger, an 11-speaker audio system, and 64-color interior ambient lighting.

Under the hood, the 2024 Toyota Camry for the Chinese market has 3 engine options. The first is a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The second is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.0L gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 197 horsepower and an average fuel consumption of only 4.2 liters/100 km. The third is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.5L gasoline engine.

Finally, the other safety features of the 2024 Toyota Camry in the Chinese market include the Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. The car is also equipped with traffic sign recognition, active steering assist, lane change assist, front vehicle cut-in warning, and driver monitoring.
Outside China, Toyota has also introduced the 9th-generation Camry in another market, the United States. The new Camry in China is a product of the GAC Toyota joint venture.
