Race Cars Race to Reduce 100% Registration Fee

Near the end of Q2, the Vietnamese automobile market has not yet shown positive signs after numerous promotional campaigns. In June, many brands quickly extend their promotions to attract customers.

Mitsubishi reduces 100% pre-tax fee

Recently, Mitsubishi Vietnam announced the implementation of a promotion program for almost all products under this brand. Customers who have the need to purchase models in June will receive 100% pre-tax fee support. This incentive is part of the “3 zeros” promotion program of the car manufacturer aimed at stimulating shopping demand and clearing the inventory of 2022 VIN models.

Specifically, the 7-seater SUV model Pajero Sport currently enjoys the highest discount at a total of 200 million VND. Specifically, customers who purchase Pajero Sport in June will receive 100% pre-tax fee support, 0% interest rate incentive for the first 6 months or 6% for the first year.

In addition, customers will also receive a one-year physical insurance. The 7-seater SUV model from the Japanese brand currently owns modest sales with only 301 units sold in Vietnam in the first 4 months of the year.

Mitsubishi Xpander also applies 100% pre-tax fee support and similar interest rate incentives. In addition, customers who purchase 2022 VIN Xpander will receive an additional 360-degree panoramic camera worth 20 million VND and one year of physical insurance.

Mitsubishi Triton pickup 2022 VIN currently has a total incentive amount of up to 110 million VND. In addition to the pre-tax fee and interest rate support in the “3 zeros” program, customers who purchase this pickup model in June will receive an additional one-year physical insurance and a roll cover worth 20 million VND.

For the C-class SUV Outlander, Mitsubishi announced that it only applies a 50% pre-tax fee discount and includes a complimentary 360-degree camera worth 20 million VND.

When talking to a consultant at a Mitsubishi dealer in Hanoi, it is said that the incentive program currently only applies to 2022 production vehicles. However, if there is a need to purchase 2023 VIN models, customers will still receive a discount equivalent to 50% pre-tax fee support and receive a complimentary genuine accessory package.

Nissan models reduced up to 120 million VND

In June, Nissan Vietnam also joined the race to reduce prices and offer pre-tax fee incentives to compete with domestic competitors. The Nissan Amera model is currently enjoying an incentive of up to 70 million VND. Thereby, the listed price is reduced to only 469-525 million VND depending on the version.

The Nissan Navara pickup is currently the model with the deepest discount in this promotion, up to 120 million VND. Specifically, the EL 2WD version is reduced by 80 million VND, bringing the post-incentive price to 619 million VND. The VL 4WD and PRO-4X versions are reduced by 120 million VND. After the promotion, the prices of these two versions are 825 million VND and 850 million VND, respectively.

Although the Nissan Kicks e-Power is not eligible for 100% pre-tax fee support in June, it is still reduced by 80-90 million VND, equivalent to about 85% of the pre-tax fee. After the price reduction, the price of the Nissan Kicks E version is reduced from 789 million VND to only 709 million VND. In the V version, the price of the car is reduced by 90 million VND and is currently at 768 million VND.

Volkswagen, Honda CR-V also offer 100% pre-tax fee support

Volkswagen Vietnam, after a long time applying a 50% pre-tax fee incentive, has also increased the discount to touch 100% mark for 2 7-seater SUVs: Teramont and Tiguan.

Specifically, the Volkswagen Teramont is currently listed at about 2.499 billion VND. Thus, after the promotion, the price of this 7-seater SUV model is only about 2 billion VND. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Tiguan also enjoys a discount equivalent to 200 million VND. After the incentive, the price of Tiguan is currently about 1.799 billion VND.

Both SUV models with incentives from the German brand have just been launched in the Vietnamese market since Q4/2022. With a large incentive program and upgrades in terms of engine and interior, the Volkswagen Tiguan will be more competitive compared to luxury models such as the Mercedes GLC300 4Matic or the Lexus NX300.

In June, Honda Vietnam continues to provide 100% pre-tax fee support, equivalent to a maximum value of 136 million VND for the CR-V depending on the version and place of registration.

Specifically, the incentive program applies to customers who sign a contract to purchase a Honda CR-V and complete all payment procedures from June 5th to the end of June 30th. In addition, customers who purchase during this period will also receive a free one-year physical insurance and a genuine accessory package.

Currently, this model is distributed in Vietnam with 4 versions, with listed prices ranging from 998 million VND to 1.138 billion VND. After the incentive, the price of the Honda CR-V will be reduced to a range from 948 million VND to 1 billion VND.
