The Land Cruiser 71 is the perfect compact off-road vehicle for those who prefer it.
The Land Cruiser 70 Series was first introduced in 1984 and has been in continuous production since then. This model has undergone four life cycle upgrades, with the latest generation being unveiled in August 2023. Additionally, Toyota has recently introduced the Land Cruiser 71, a three-door version of the Land Cruiser 70 Series.
While the 5-door Land Cruiser is considered more practical by most, the 3-door variant has its own appeal for off-road enthusiasts due to its compact size. The Land Cruiser 71 has an overall length of 2310 mm, which is 420 mm shorter than the 5-door version.
Despite being almost 40 years old, Toyota has continuously updated the Land Cruiser 70 Series over the years, and the latest version features modern features commonly found in mainstream models. These include LED headlights, daytime running lights, electronic door locks, power windows, hill start assist, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The vehicle also boasts a 4.2-inch driver’s instrument cluster and a 9-inch infotainment screen with integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The safety features of the Land Cruiser 71 include front airbags, lane departure warning, ABS, and a forward collision warning system.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 71 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 228 horsepower and a maximum torque of 360 Nm. The power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 6-speed Super ECT automatic transmission and a 4WD drivetrain.
With a starting price of only $46,000 (1.12 billion VND) in the UAE, the Toyota Land Cruiser 71 will be available at dealerships from February 2024.
