The Asia Road Racing Championship has returned to the Sepang race track in Malaysia for the second time in 2019 after the opening race. In March, Vietnam’s best record at Sepang was 10th place in Race 2, earning a total of 10 points after 2 days of competition in Stage 1.

Returning to the track, which is home to many strong racers from Malaysia, Cao Viet Nam hopes to replicate his impressive performance in March and achieve an even better position. It is important to note that Malaysia is the country with the earliest developed racing and currently the most developed motorsport in Southeast Asia. It can be considered the “Holy Land” of ASEAN racing. In the AP250 category, many strong racers from Malaysia will provide a challenge for Cao Viet Nam.

Following the qualifying session this morning (September 21), Honda Racing Vietnam rider secured 19th place on the starting grid, which will pose a challenge for the goal of entering the top 10 overall.

However, with his determination and courage, the rider known as “the crazy guy” did not disappoint his coaches and fans. With agility and racing experience, despite not starting impressively, Cao Viet Nam quickly caught up with the leading group and secured a stable position among the top 10 strongest riders.

The rider Cao Viet Nam of Honda Racing Vietnam is number 65.

At several instances, Cao Viet Nam climbed to 8th place, closely following the leading group of athletes. This is a rare occurrence where the rider from Honda Racing Vietnam consistently maintains a close distance to the group of competitors vying for the top 3 positions on the podium. In previous races, the leading group usually leaves the chasing group with Cao Viet Nam behind after 2-3 laps. This progress is seen as significant for the “crazy guy”.

At the end of the first competition day, Cao Viet Nam impressively finished 9th overall, earning an additional valuable 7 points. This is also the highest achievement in Cao Viet Nam’s professional racing career and equals the position he achieved in Race 1 Round 3 in Thailand this season. After Race 1, Round 6, the Honda Racing Vietnam rider has accumulated 39 points and continues to compete for a position in the top 15 by the end of the season.

Tomorrow, Cao Viet Nam will continue with the second competition day of Stage 6, starting in 19th place out of 30 riders. With his impressive performance today, Cao Viet Nam will surely have more confidence and determination to achieve even better results and bring glory to the Honda Racing Vietnam team as well as satisfy the fans.
