From the very first day of the CES Exhibition, the booth of VinFast, the Vietnamese automobile brand, became the center of attention with its highly anticipated debut of the VF Wild electric pickup truck concept. It attracted thousands of visitors and received an influx of praise.

At exactly 10:15 am on January 9th (US time), at Booth 6417 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, the VF Wild made its grand entrance. The unveiling of this remarkable concept immediately elicited rounds of applause.

As the curtains were drawn, the crowd was captivated by the stunning beauty of VinFast’s electric pickup truck concept.

“From the moment it was unveiled, it captured my attention. Even though it’s just a concept, the car has piqued the interest of both industry experts and visitors,” expressed Clarence Dung Taylor, a well-known figure in the Vietnamese showbiz community in the US.

According to visitors, VinFast’s electric pickup truck possesses the muscularity and strength of Tesla’s Cybertruck, combined with the elegance and luxury of Rivian. It instantly captivates viewers, particularly when they feast their eyes on the luxurious and sophisticated interior.

Among the attendees at the VF Wild debut was JB Morch, a design expert from OuterSpace, who was astonished by the pickup truck’s “beautiful design” with the “Power of Flow” design language. With his vast industry experience, he believes that VF Wild owners will proudly showcase the car’s beauty.

“I know how challenging it is to design a car since it not only has to be visually appealing, but every detail must also harmonize perfectly. VinFast truly excelled with this car,” commented the expert.

After traveling nearly 5,000 miles from Oregon to Las Vegas, Jeff Zurschmeide stated that he was gradually becoming accustomed to the presence of the Vietnamese car brand in the US. He believes that VF Wild is a crucial product for VinFast as pickup trucks sell remarkably well in the American market. In the era of the surging electric car trend, American consumers are still looking for affordable electric pickup trucks, as the current market options are too expensive.

“The price of VF Wild hasn’t been announced yet. However, if this product boasts both a competitive price and high quality, I’m confident that VinFast will achieve substantial sales since the demand is incredibly high,” expressed the visitor from Oregon.

A fantastic opportunity for VF 3 and DrgnFly

The promising VF 3 will become “the electric car for everyone”

Jeff Zurschmeide also highly praised VF 3, the mini e-SUV model that made its global debut at CES 2024. In the eyes of visitors, VF 3 holds great allure as an urban electric car. Its design is eye-catching, attracting the gaze and touch of everyone.

VF 3’s beauty entices everyone to lay their eyes on it

Many attendees at the exhibition mentioned that while Americans generally prefer large, rugged cars, they are also practical individuals, especially the Gen Z generation. With its compact design and convenience, VF 3 is an ideal choice. Furthermore, for first-time electric car buyers who don’t yet want to invest heavily, VF 3 is easily within reach.

“If VF 3’s price stays below $20,000, it will sell remarkably well in the US since it will be the go-to choice in this price range within the electric car market,” commented Zurschmeide.

VinFast’s booth also grabbed visitors’ attention with the presence of the DrgnFly electric-assisted bicycle. Having previously been introduced as a concept product at CES 2023, the electric bike officially debuted at this year’s exhibition and stirred up significant excitement.

Brian Armstead, a content producer for WTOP FM in Washington DC, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm for the DrgnFly. The bike’s design and specifications were highly regarded by this visitor.

“I truly love the DrgnFly. Its ability to tackle any terrain and a range of 63 miles make it an enticing product,” commented Brian Armstead.

Clarence Dung Taylor, who owns four electric bicycles for his children to commute to school, is also optimistic about DrgnFly’s prospects in the US market. In Uncle Sam’s land, children aged 11 or 12 typically wear braces and own a smartphone. Now, in addition to braces and smartphones, there are electric bicycles.

“Every family with children of this age invests in an electric bike. With the DrgnFly model, VinFast has nailed the latest trend,” remarked Mr. Dung Taylor.

Reflecting on VinFast’s three appearances at CES, many international visitors have concluded that each time, the Vietnamese automaker shines brightly with its groundbreaking products. At CES 2022, VinFast rocked the world by announcing its switch to pure electric and unveiling a comprehensive range of electric cars spanning all segments. Just a year later, at CES 2023, VinFast amazed visitors by offering them the chance to test drive the VF 8, which had been introduced only a year prior.

Now, at this year’s exhibition, the Vietnamese automaker continues to mesmerize the world with its rapid progress. In just two short years, VinFast has made an indelible mark on the US electric car market, as well as the global electric car revolution as a whole.

“Having been in the automotive industry for quite some time, rarely do I witness a company launching such high-quality car models in such quick succession as the Vietnamese automaker has. And with this pickup truck in the US market, VinFast will undoubtedly drive the auto industry forward,” evaluated Dan Gittleman, a representative of Witricity, an American technology company, while experiencing the newly introduced VF Wild model at CES 2024.
